The sample above gives tallies for 20 people playing at five tables of 4-hand euchre. Every person plays at least once with every other person.

The person starts at table 1, couple 1,
goes to table 2, couple 2,
then goes to table 4, couple 1
then to table 5, couple 2,
then to table 2, couple 1
etc.
It is important at the beginning of the tournament to hand out the tallies to the correct table. The first line in each tally gives the Table number. In the sample tally shown, the person starts at Table 1.
Note: Please do not write to me asking for free samples. There is one free sample for a tournament of 5 tables shown above.

Euchre parties are a popular way of making money for your club, church, or community group. We host a six-hand euchre party once a week from October to May, charge a small token per person, play eight rounds of euchre. Then participants enjoy a snack of sandwiches and cakes.
I have created tallies for six-hand euchre parties. (See * below) These tallies include all combinations of tables of six and four which are needed to accommodate from 18 to 120 people for a tournament consisting of eight games. My book of tallies has been advertised "by word of mouth" and is now being used in a wide variety of euchre clubs in eastern Ontario. It has been given rave reviews by one and all.
This book consists of 322 pages

Its main feature is that each set of tallies ensures that participants play with a wide variety of people
When a four-hand table is required, tallies ensure that the people playing at the four-hand table are fairly distributed. (See ** below for more details)

* In Ontario, six-hand euchre is a very popular game. As the name implies, six people play this game and the regular euchre deck has three jokers: the 2, 3 and 4 of spades. To see how the game is played refer to this Euchre Web Site. It even has a special link to a page featuring Nellie Doherty's Rules of Euchre. Nellie is my mom and a serious euchre player; she is famous for saying that "It doesn't take many in spades!". When I am playing euchre, I am often compared, usually unfavourably, with my mom. She taught me all that I know!- at least, all that I know about euchre.
** In the past tallies for 6-hand euchre have not incorporated 4-hand tables. These tallies assume that the number of people attending the tournament will be an exact multiple of six. But often this is not the case and one or two 4-hand tables are required to accommodate the participants.
When participants change tables to go to the next game there is always confusion with two people having no place to sit. They must find an empty chair at another table. This wastes time and causes confusion.
To be fair to all, participants should play at the 4-hand table the same number of times. These tallies ensure that a person plays at a 6-hand tables as often as possible.
