| After finishing art
school in 1975 I entered the outside world where having to make a living
caught up with me. Although I knew in my heart and gut that I wouldn't be
able to support myself selling my art I continued to draw and paint.
Showing in galleries never became a way of life; I didn't have the
necessary personality and my art was anything but decorative. When I
started making one-of-a-kind books from recycled paper and cardboard I felt
I had found my calling. You can find me and my books at the small press
fairs in Toronto, or contact me
by e-mail
ARTIST'S STATEMENT "Making art is a confidence game. There is no time to lose.Throw fear away. Art is a series of mistakes that work together. When your work looks unfamiliar rejoice. And above all don't try, just do it." |
