If you believe:

• The family is the fundamental building block of society and thus would work to reduce to role of government where possible, by reducing the excessive taxation burden on families and by doubling the spousal income tax exemption.
  
  
• In the traditional definition of marriage and that the government must be pressured to invoke the notwithstanding clause to protect traditional marriage.
  
  
• In the sanctity of human life, such that abortion services should be de-funded, along with providing greater support for women in crisis pregnancy situations.
  
  
• Inrestructuring the income tax system to provide tax relief targeted for families through an additional income tax deduction for each dependent child.
  
  
• That families should be given increased decision making power in the following areas:
  - Education: The FCP would allow complete choice - allow education funding to follow a child to a school of the family's choice.
  - Day care: Rather than providing direct subsidies, the FCP would reduce taxation burdens to allow families to choose between paying
  for day care or electing to have one parent work fewer hours.
  - Health Care: Reduce demand of unnecessary services through 100% government funded Medical Savings Accounts.

This quick outline shows that the Family Coalition Party is truly motivated to do its best in the interests of families. We do not claim to have all the answers for everyone - like the other parties do. That is why we aim to decentralize what we can from the provincial government level back to communities and families.
