Imagine a process you could complete in a couple of days that gives you a fresh perspective on your whole life - a deeper understanding of who you are and how you respond to challenges and opportunities.
LifeThreads mapping is such a process.
This psychological-assessment tool allows a person to score or 'map' the life-themes of their choice against the twenty-four most significant moments in their lives.
We have all taken those tests where you pick your answer from a multiple-choice list. Have you ever wondered how such a test can generate an accurate picture based on such modest input from yourself?
100% of the content of this assessment tool originates within you! The tool provides only a structure. You pick the milestones in your life that become the vertical lines on the graph. You pick the themes you want to explore over the course of those milestones. You create the scales for each theme. What does a low score mean? A high score? And finally, you score each theme against each milestone according to your scales.
The process takes about three or four hours, ideally spread over a couple of days, and delivers an Excel chart that shows your LifeThreads interacting over time - fascinating and instructional! [Once you have your map, you can try different themes or milestones and see how the graph changes.]
The reason two days are helpful is that the process involves recalling our inner life over the whole of our life chronology... focusing on the things we were concentrating on and fantasizing about... In short, our feelings and imaginings at each important point in our lives. Fairly strong stuff in actuality. Exploring these things is almost always enhanced by 'sleeping on it'. Thus the two days! The next day we may have a perspective that will balance today's and give us a more helpful view.
This tool can also provide very useful information about your life intentions, core beliefs and some of the idea complexes you have engaged.
At the present time, as the inventor, I am the only one who can facilitate this tool - and it does need facilitation to be effective. This is mainly because it is all so new, though. All things being equal, the plan is to provide it to people for a reasonable price, or free if that's possible. [It does resolve to a simple Excel file after all - with all data points editable by the user.]
In the meanwhile, I am happy to facilitate LifeThreads - here in my studio in Toronto. Two days really is helpful, so let's say two hours on Day One and a couple more on Day Two. Currently, I would need about $750 CDN for this commitment.
