ProActive poetry is not about writing beautiful poems - although some beautiful poems have been written this way. It is about changing your life. Improving your life in some visceral, experiential way - solving a problem, healing a wound, resolving a relationship.
In this workshop you use your creative powers to rearrange the components of whatever issue is biting you ass. Writing poetry - any creative activity for that matter - has always been an 'agent of change'. This workshop brings that process to consciousness and allows us to steer things in a direction informed by our particular concerns.
When we reorganize our feelings about an issue and work it through inwardly, we cannot help but encounter outward evidence that reflects these changes. ProActive Poetry has been shown to be potent stuff! [For more information see the introduction to the Poetry Section.]

"Kris:
And by becoming aware of those emotions and related images you may gain insight into how your own personal consciousness is layered and organized, giving you a rather different picture of what you thought you were about. And if you were to dig even deeper in such a process, you might even discover that you can actually, consciously play with and even re-organize some of those blocks of memories in such a manner that the outcome of your experience can be rather different, if not altogether altered. Does this make sense?
Such a process can also be utilized when dealing with perhaps even rather unpleasant experiences and memories that may still influence your daily events to one degree or another, but giving you a powerful message in an effort to experience a different outcome of experience."
