Creating fractured 3D text in Corel Draw 8TM.

I used a black page color for this example.

--------------------------------------------------
[1]   First select the text tool.

then type in your text and choose your color.
For this tutorial I used Arial Black font
with a 48 point size.

--------------------------------------------------
[2]   Select the eraser tool from the tool bar.

Using the eraser tool, create the fracture lines
whichever way you want.

--------------------------------------------------
[3]   Next, from the menu bar at the top,
select "EFFECTS" then EXTRUDE".
Click on the extrusion tab in the effects rollup.

For this example, I used a depth of 2.0
--------------------------------------------------
[4]   Next, click on the rotation tab,

and rotate the text to your desired angle.
--------------------------------------------------
[5]   Click on the lighting tab and select at least one light.

I used two lights. One in the upper right corner
and one in the lower left corner.

--------------------------------------------------
[6]   Finally, from the menu bar at the top,
select "BITMAPS" then "CONVERT TO BITMAP"
and choose your options and click "OK".
Then, from the menu bar at the top again
select "BITMAPS" then "EDIT BITMAP".
This will launch Corel Photopaint 8TM. You can
then alter and save your image the way you want.
I saved this one in gif. format with a transparant
background.
