I've accidentally found this recent news that shows biological evolution contradicting TRIZ. This time it is against Segmentation (Principle 1), Dynamicity (Principle 15), Use of Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems (Principle 29), and even Increasing Flexibility as one of the basic evolution laws. According to all these principles and the law, rigid structures evolve into more flexible ones. According to the new research, clever octopuses and evolution go other way (see "Clever octopus sheds light on arm evolution" on ABC News Online).
