: F.Y.I. Corisan author Gerard Venturini is suing Paramount Studios for copyright infringement, asserting the TV series The Sentinel is based on his Cash spy series, which he had published in the 1980s under the pen name of Gerard Cambri. Like James Ellison, James Cash had developed hyper hearing and sight while marooned in the jungle. Hmmmm. . . The Nightowl wonders if this could be the reason Paramount is so slow coming out with The Sentinel DVDs. . . DETAILS

We have received reports of a new virus sweeping the continent. The virus has been dubbed "Sentinelitis" by doctors. The first signs of infection is an almost total addiction to a TV program called 'The Sentinel'. In secondary stages the victims become addicted to "fanfiction" available widely on the internet. People must take caution, exposure to episodes through TV or video tapes of even one episode can cause immediate and total infection. In some cases the infection can take hold of an individual who has never seen the show. Citizens who wish to avoid infection must avoid the show itself, all TS fanfiction, TS web pages, Sentinel fans (known as "Sentries" and "Senners"), and even some other fandoms, which are at risk due to the well-known "crossover syndrome". Women seem to be especially at risk due to the high "hunk factor" of this disease. We urge you, take care, Sentinelitis is everywhere and the infection is spreading. This has been a public health announcement.
