Glenroslin Westies and Scotties
Meet the girls

Meet the girls

Here at GlenRoslin, we breed our girls only once per year. In any given year, the number of available puppies varies. It is often a case of if you meet us and like us, then you wait. We try to make the wait as pleasant as possible with emails, and answering questions about the natural way of raising and feeding the puppy. We always welcome people to our home and if you are actually waiting on one of our puppies, you are welcome to visit the girls as often as you like. Once the puppy is born we encourage you to visit to see the puppy in the various stages of growth. We also provide pictures via email if requested. If you are interested in being considered for one of our upcoming puppies, please complete the information questionnaire. Forward the completed questionnaire by email, fax or snail mail .

One of Abbee's pups "Argyle"

Beinnein’s Abbee O GlenRoslin – “Abbee”

Abbee was born in Calgary , AB and is out of the Beinnein line. Her Sire is Can. Am. Ch. Beinnein’s Spellbinder and her Dam is Ch. Beinnein’s Fire N Brimstone. Abbee entered the show ring in 2001 and very quickly attained her Canadian championship in December 2002. Abbee was owner/handled in a limited number of shows. Abbee has produced some lovely puppies and is semi-retired living with one of her Sons and a Granddaughter in Holstein , ON . Abbee will fully retire in 2007 hopefully having given GlenRoslin a little girl to continue her heritage and will live the rest of her life comfortably in Holstein.

GlenRoslin’s Kyles of Lochalsh – “Ashleigh”

Ashleigh is a totally home grown girl out of MacDhu’s Highland Thistle and GlenRoslin’s Fraser Highlander. She is a spirited Scottie with tons of personality. Ashleigh began her show career in 2004 but has decided to take a break. In 2007 she decided she would like to move to London , ON to help heal the heart of her sister Erin’s Mum Linda (read about Erin on the Memorial page). Ashleigh has given us a some nice puppies and we hope she will give us a few more before she retires.

TuppenceGlenRoslin’s Tuppence A Bag – “Tuppence”

Tuppence is from MacDhu’s Princess Rhanna and Ch. Cheviotvale Spencer I Am. She has westietude to spare, when she was just 9 weeks old she learned that if when we had company, she barked loud enough we would lift her out of her playpen. We had high hopes for Miss Tuppence that she would be the one to take GlenRoslin into the Show ring. Although very successful in the shows we did enter her, it was clearly obvious she did not want to be there so we decided to wait and see if she matured after having a litter of puppies. Unfortunately Tuppence never did show again but has gone on to produce some gorgeous puppies. Tuppence will retire in 2007 and hopefully the perfect retirement home will come along where she can live the rest of her life as a spoiled only child. If not, she will happily live her life out with Bob and I at GlenRoslin where everyone is spoiled.

GlenRoslin’s Misty Isle Iona – “ Iona ”

Iona is from GlenRoslin’s Tuppence a Bag and Ch. Stockaree’s King of Norway (Haco). She is a beautiful girl and after a slow start finally produced a lovely baby boy February 06, and will now go on to produce other lovely puppies. In 2007 Iona went to live in Guelph to be a companion to her new surrogate Mum Joan who is spoiling her rotten. We look forward to a couple of more litters from Iona before she finally retires.

GlenRoslin’s Worth Remembering – “Poppy”

Poppy is from GlenRoslin’s Highland Dancer (Kiltie) (link) and Ch. GlenRoslin’s Professor Higgins. We started showing Poppy in late 2005 but felt she needed to mature some; we hope to perhaps bring her out again later this year. In her first litter Poppy gave us 2 lovely little boys who funnily enough, both new owners chose to name Toby. On January 1, 2007 we believe Poppy had what was probably the first Westie born in Canada in 2007 when she gave birth to a beautiful little girl at 8 minutes past midnight. We are hopeful Skylee will mature nicely and will be shown to her Canadian championship. Poppy is a really nice girl with a wonderful temperament and we look forward to hopefully getting a special girl from her to keep her heritage alive.

Stockarees Morag At GlenRoslin “Morag”

Morag came to us from Kenlake Westies in Murray KY from Kenlake’s Debutante Daisy and Kenlake’s Designed to Rebel. She is co-owned with Stockaree Westies in Whitby ON . For her first litter, Morag was bred to Higgins and produced 3 lovely puppies. We look forward to many more gorgeous pups in the future. Morag hopes to try her hand at showing in the near future.

Stockarees Seona O GlenRoslin “Shona”

Shona is our newest baby and comes to us from Stockaree Westies. Shona is from GlenRoslin’s Tara O Stockaree and Kenlake’s Designed to Rebel. We call Shona the Tasmanian Devil, she is so happy to see you when you come home she bounces from side to side in her crate and moves it clear across the dog room floor. She is a gorgeous, lovable little girl and we look forward to showing her and to many gorgeous puppies once she grown up and matures.

MacDhu’s Highland Thistle “Thistle”

Thistle is the most laid back Scottie I have ever had the pleasure to meet. She is jet black, loyal and loving with the most beautiful temperament. She loves to have a conversation, we just wish we knew what she was saying. However, being a typical Scottie, Thistle is true to form and very single minded, she thinks she is descended to Royalty. Thistle has given us some really gorgeous puppies one of whom attained his Canadian championship, Ch. GlenRoslin’s Gordon For Me “Gordie”. Thistle had her last litter in March of 2003 and is now retired from breeding to spend what we hope will be many years of retirement with us. Our girl Ashleigh is from this last litter.

MacDhu’s Princess Rhanna “Rhanna”

Rhanna came to us just after we moved into the country from Gaywyn Suave Lad and MacDhu’s Highland Moonglow. She has never lived in the City, she is a true country girl. She and Thistle have always been great pals as Thistle looked after her when she came to us at 8 weeks old. Rhanna produced some beautiful puppies out of the 3 litter she had in her breeding career. Rhanna has long since retired from breeding and now spends her days sleeping, chasing the soccer ball in the yard and making sure we don’t forget she’s there. Rhanna’s grandson Higgins aka GlenRoslin’s Professor Higgins is our foundation stud and in 2005 we added a great grandson Rebus aka GlenRoslin’s DI Rebus. So even though she only produced 3 litters, through Kiltie, Tuppence and Higgins she has definitely formed the foundation of the GlenRoslin line.

GlenRoslin’s Highland Dancer “Kiltie”

Kiltie is also a Rhanna daughter from MacDhu’s Princess Rhanna and Am. Can. Ch. Benchmark Simon Is My Name born in 1999. She is a little darling. Kiltie is finer boned than her Mum but has plenty of westietude, she was always a bit shy around strangers but warmed up once she got to know she was safe. Kiltie has given us Poppy who is also finer boned. Kiltie had her last litter in 2005 and now lives in blissful retirement in the lovely Caledon Hills, ON with Bradley who is one of Tuppence’s boys.
