Rainbow bridge
Music: Narrator Rona Downey

They will not go quietly,
the dogs who've shared our lives.
In subtle ways they let us know
their spirit still survives.

Our habits still make us think
we hear a barking at the door.
Or step back when we drop
a tasty morsel on the floor.

Our feet will still go round the place
the food dish used to be,
And, sometimes, coming home at night,
we miss them terribly.

And although time may bring new friends
and a new food dish to fill,
That one place in our hearts
belongs to them...
and always will.

MoragMorag, September 94 –September 02 (MacDhu’s Lady Morag Rosslyn)

Morag was our first Westie and left us far to early in life. She was the sweetest girl one could want. She raised some beautiful pups. We had hoped that Morag would be given time to enjoy retirement sunning herself on our property and running “Lucky” our neighbours dog off her property, but unfortunately that wasn’t to be. Morag always thought she was the boss, but really she was just the loudest. Morag had her last litter of 2 girls and 1 boy in December 2001.

Drummond

Drummond, November 2003 – April 2004 (Dr. Drummond of GlenRoslin)

Drummond was a gorgeous puppy destined to do big things in the show ring, However that was not to be. Due to the inquisitiveness of the Scottie puppy, Drummond had a tragic accident and died at the tender age of 6 months. Drummond was owned by John and Bev of Peterborough and will be remembered always.

Bonnie,
February 2002 – July 2004 (GlenRoslin’s Bonnie McCroon)

Bonnie was born February 5, 2002 to Ch. Beinnein’s Abbee O GlenRoslin (Abbee) x Ch. GlenRoslin’s Gordon For Me (Gordie). She was co-owned by GlenRoslin by GlenRoslin and Arlene & Gary from Holstein, ON. Bonnie gave birth to 4 beautiful puppies (3 girls and one boy) on July 13, 2004 and on July 19th, took extremely sick and even with the excellent care of Dr. Omar Khan at the Emergency Clinic, could not be saved and passed away leaving behind 4 orphaned puppies. Unfortunately a week later, the little boy also died leaving the 3 girls who survived and went on to become beautiful healthy puppies. One puppy Gracie, lives with her grandmother and uncle in Holstein, ON; another puppy went all the way to North Carolina to live and the 3rd lives in Toronto, ON.

Jenny, January 2001 - (Lady Jenny of GlenRoslin)

Jenny was one of four puppies from Morag’s 3rd litter. Jenny lived in sunny California with her family. Jenny was loved so very much but one day tragically found her way under the fence to the family swimming pool. Another baby who left us way to early.

Erin , March 2003 – May 2006 ( GlenRoslin’s Erin Isle)

Tragically killed by a truck May 7, 2006 at the young age of 3 - Erin was born with a heart murmur but it didn’t keep her from doing anything, she was a typical happy Scottie.  Erin ’s Mum Linda knew she had the murmur before ever taking her home and had the chance to take a different puppy but chose to love Erin because of her little defect not in spite of it and love Erin she did.  Erin was the pride of Linda’s hometown in Newfoundland and traveled there many times in her short life.  Erin will be missed and lovingly remembered by many both in Ontario and Newfoundland but none more than her Mum Linda.  Rest In Peace little Erin .

HacoCh. Stockaree’s King of Norway (HACO) – Although Haco (pictured left) was not owned by GlenRoslin, he owned a piece of our hearts. He was a beautiful boy and forms a very large part of the GlenRoslin line.  Haco was lovingly owned and cared for by Sheila and Pat Keenan of Stockaree Westies in Whitby, ON.  Haco left us far too young at the tender age of 6. This was a tragic loss for all who loved Haco.  Haco will be remembered forever and will carry on for GlenRoslin through his offspring; Higgins and Iona, and through his GlenRoslin grandchildren, Rebus, Poppy and their offspring .
