Education Access Resource Guide 2001

***NOTE: The information in this booklet is based
on education laws in Ontario, Canada***

This 35 page booklet is designed for parents of exceptional pupils,  C.A.S. case-workers, support workers,  foster parents and advocacy associations, as they inter-act with school boards.  Over 400 copies of the 1997 edition and over 1000 copies of the 2000 edition are in circulation.

Many of us have experienced the frustration of trying to get exceptional students into appropriate educational programs or trying to secure appropriate support services for them.   This booklet is designed to provide you with information and references to "level the playing field" when you deal with your local school or board.

It was written as a companion guide for  workshops provided by Lindsay Moir for parents, support workers and C.A.S. staff, and was very well received.  It was suggested by participants that the guide be made more widely available.
