MARK OF THE BEAST - 666

This Lord's word explained bible study document will discuss the Mark of the Beast -- 666. I will show you what the mark of the beast is and how it differs from the mark or the seal of God. To learn how to avoid the mark of the beast, read - "...Marrying and Giving in Marriage...."; and The First and Seventh Commandments; The Spirit Within and God's Discipline

All text taken from the King James Bible

Let us begin this Bible study with a prayer, O God, thy heavenly Father, grant me wisdom and knowledge, open my eyes and ears, so that I may be able to understand this document, I ask this in the Lord Jesus name. Amen.

Let us begin by taking a look at the story in Genesis where Cain has killed, or slew his brother Abel, I will begin with -

Gen.4:9-11 - And the LORD said unto Cain, Where [is] Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: [Am] I my brother's keeper? (10) And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground. (11) And now [art] thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;

Cain has just broken what would become the 6th commandment and lied to the Lord about it. This is "spiritual" murder to God. Please see explanation below.

While the ten commandments were not yet in existence, when the ten commandments were given to Moses to give to the people, God made the 6th commandment - "Thou shalt not kill" - it was not a lucky coincidence, since God had already placed a mark on Cain - see Gen.4:12-15 below.

lied

John 8:44 - Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he (the devil/the serpent/Satan) is a liar, and the father of it.

Please know and understand that the word "he," is referring back to the beginning of the verse your father - "the devil." The devil/the serpent/Satan, is the father of lies.

Also, in John 8:44, please note what Jesus said the devil was - "he was a murderer," well did the devil actually take the life of a person, that is murder someone? No, not to my knowledge, so let us continue looking at this scripture. Jesus said that the devil was a murderer from the beginning and abode not in the truth, because there was no truth in him, and when he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. So the devil lied from the beginning and he is the father of it (lies) and this is what Jesus says is murder - that is, "spiritual" murder.

And we, the people, have been lying ever since, not only to others, but to ourselves as well. Each time you lie, you are doing the work of the devil/the serpent/Satan - you are committing "spiritual" murder.

The punishment for both physical murder and "spiritual" murder is the same to God - both are no longer in the "spiritual" garden of Eden, they did not walk in the "spiritual," presence of the Lord. Please read Gen. 3:23 and Gen. 4:16 for yourself. So, if you break the commandments of God, and/or, you do not follow the fruits of the Spirit, then you are no longer walking in the Spirit with the Lord.

Unlike the devil/Satan and his followers who do not want to change their ways, you can repent and change your ways and follow the Lord and do the fruits of the Spirit and keep the commandments of God. - See - Parable of the Fruit--Tree of Life

What was the "lie" that the serpent beguiled, (or, tricked) the woman, (Eve) into believing? and what is the tree of good and evil? I will leave you to contemplate on these questions. But, don't forget, we have been lied to from the very beginning, because the serpent/devil/Satan/Lucifer - is trying to take over from God - to be like the most high - to exalt his throne above the stars of God's - Is.14:12-14, how can the devil/Satan/Lucifer try to accomplish this? What does the Bible say that the woman is to Adam - Gen.2:18, and exactly what is that? - be careful how you answer that. Now go back and read Gen.2:17 carefully. Please see - The First and Seventh Commandment for some help with some of these questions.

I do not know what the Lord had planned for man, (or us,) since the serpent beguiled the woman and both the woman and the man did eat of the tree of good and evil - Gen.3:6, when they were commanded not to eat of the tree of good and evil - Gen.2:16 and 3:11. - in sorrow thou shalt eat of "it" all the days of thy life. What is "it?" (There are two answers for this and you need both of them.)

What God had planned for us to do, is definitely not what we are doing today. Most of us are more concerned with own pleasures and pleasing ourselves, than serving and pleasing God. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, - Matt.24:38, and so it shall be at the time of the coming of the Son of man, that is - eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, etc. Now please read Is.64:4 and I Cor.2:9. Also read - "...Marrying and Giving in Marriage...."

I Cor.7:1-2 & 32-33 - Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: [It is] good for a man not to touch a woman. (2) Nevertheless, [to avoid] fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. (32) But I (Paul) would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord: (33) But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please [his] wife. Please see - Temples of God--Churches for more information on this and the definition for the word "fornication."

Is one of your main goals in life to get married and perhaps have children? Are you really supposed to get married? or is this the big lie or deception of Satan/the serpent? Certainly, "fornication" is definately out! Read the above scripture carefully, I have put some of the scripture in bold and some in big print so that you can see what we are being told. Also read - The First and Seventh Commandment; The Spirit Within Us and God's Discipline; and, "...Marrying and Giving in Marriage...."

Let us look at -

Gen.2.18 - And the LORD God said, [It is] not good that the man should be alone; I will make an help meet for him.

him an help meet - #5828 OT - AV - help, help meet; 1) help, succour, 1b) one who helps,

from #5826 - a primitive root - AV help, helper, holpen, succour, variant; 1) to help, succour, support;

The woman was not made for a "sex mate" for man, but a "help meet," a helper, or one who helps. Now carefully read I Cor.7:1-2 & 32-33 above again. Man and woman, were supposed to support, or help one another "spiritual."

But, if you do choose to get married, then there are rules in the Bible that you need to follow, and having sex of any kind without being married to an opposite gender of your own species, is called "fornication" in the Bible. See the definition for "fornication," in Temples of God--Churches

Read the Bible and prove for yourself what the scriptures actually say, don't just take the word that I have written in this document, and don't just take the word of your minister, paster or priest - read the Bible for yourself, and even if it means that you have to turn away from that which you have been taught all of your life, then do so, because it is your responsibility to work out your own salvation. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good - I Thes.5:21

REMEMBER:- John 4:24 - God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Let us look at -

Rev.7:13-14 - And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? (14) And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Let us keep in mind the scripture in -

Rev.18:4 - And I (John) heard another voice from heaven saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye not be partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. - See - Four Sore Judgments

One of the "her sins," is lying, there are others, or as Jesus put it in John 8:44 - Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he (the devil/the serpent/Satan) is a liar, and the father of it. - See - Parable of the Fruit--Tree of Life.

In this case, "a murderer" to God is not only the taking of another persons life, but also lying - when you lie, you take the spiritual life from yourself, therefore you are murdering your spirit life in God's eyes.

It is where the whore sittest - Rev.17:1, 15, 16, let us take a moment to look at -

Rev.17:17 - For God hath put in their hearts (minds) to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

In the above verse, the words "their kingdom," is referring to your "spiritual kingdom"/your mind, it means that your are giving your "spiritual kingdom"/your mind, over to the beast/the dragon/the serpent/the devil/Satan and following the ways of Satan. It is up to you, to see, hear and understand the words of the Lord and to repent and cast Satan and his ways out, to follow the commandments of God, all of them and live a righteous live just as Jesus did.

In the Foundations of Heaven and Earth, I have shown you where the "spiritual" kingdom of heaven is, and it is this "spiritual" kingdom, that we are giving unto the beast, as well as the physical. - Also see - Parable of the Fruit--Tree of Life, to see the difference between the "fruit of the Spirit" and "the works of the flesh."

Another one of "her sins," is lust, "...and the lusts of your father (the devil) ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. " It is a work of the flesh to "lust" and lusting is a sin, and if you believe what the serpent said to the woman (Eve) and Adam, that it is okay to partake in the fruit of the tree of a member of the opposite sex, that God will not mind, then you are following the ways of the serpent. Because God did mind, otherwise, God would not have been so angry and he would not have removed Adam and the woman (Eve) from the garden of Eden.

Now let us continue -

crieth unto me from the ground - Gen.4:10

Rev.6:10 - And they (the souls - see vs.9) cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, doest thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? - See - Gen.4:10 above again.

Rev.6:9 - And when he (the Lamb) had opened the fifth seal, I (John) saw under the alter the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:

cursed from the earth - Gen.4:11

Deut.28:15-20 - But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statues which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
(16) Cursed [shalt] thou [be] in the city, and cursed [shalt] thou [be] in the field.
(17) Cursed [shall be] thy basket and thy store.
(18) Cursed [shall be] the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, and increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
(19) Cursed [shalt] thou [be] when thou comest in, and cursed [shalt] thou [be] when thou goest out.
(20) The LORD shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me. - See - Four Sore Judgments

Gal.3:10 - For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. - See - Deut.27:26

souls of them that were slain for the word of God - Rev.6:9

Rev.20:4 - And I (John) saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and [I saw} the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received [his] mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

souls of them that were beheaded - Rev.20:4

See Rev.6:9 - above

which had not worshipped the beast -

Rev.3:12 - And he (the dragon, or devil) exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

Let us take a moment to look at -

Rev.12:9 - And the great dragon was cast out, (of heaven), that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Luke 10:18 - And he (Jesus) said unto them, (disciples, or labourers), I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

John 12:31 - Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. - See Luke 10:18 above; also see - Eph.2:2 and Eph.6:12

I John 3:8 - He that commiteth sin is of the devil; for the devil (the serpent/Satan) sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. - See Gen.3:1-15 and John 8:44

Heb.2:14 - Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

REMEMBER: Satan is the father of lies, and he has lied from the very beginning (he beguiled/deceived, or, lied to the woman, Eve)

Now we need to go back and look at the story of Cain and Abel some more.

Cain was the first born - of Adam - Gen.4:1

Abel was the second born - ...Abel was a keeper (or, a feeder) of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

Let's go back now a little further and see what God says to the serpent when God found out that the serpent had beguiled (lied, or, deceived) the woman (Eve) and Adam when they partook of the tree of good and evil.

Gen.3:14-17 - And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, (lied), thou [art] cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: (15) And I will put enmity (or, hatred, hostility) between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou (the Lord) shalt bruise his heel. (16) Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire [shall be] to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. (17) And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast harkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed [is] the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat [of] it all the days of thy life.

Let us take a little closer look at the phrase Gen.3:14 - ..."Because thou has done this" - done what, let us look at what was being referred to in Gen.3:13 - ..."The serpent (devil/Satan) beguiled (deceived/lied) me, and I (the woman) did eat (believed him, the serpent). The serpent/the devil/Satan, is the father of lies.

Let us continue -

Between thy seed (the serpent's seed) and her seed - let us not forget what "the seed" is. In the Parable of the Sower, Luke version, it tells us - Luke 8:11 - ...The seed is the word of God. The difference of a person will be, those who follow the "fruit of the Spirit," - God's ways, or those who follow the serpent/devil/Satan's ways - lying and deceiving, to yourself and others. See explanation below. - Also see - Parable of the Fruit--Tree of Life

Let us continue -

dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life - Gen.3:14

Is.65:25 - The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust [shall be] the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.

Micah 7:17 - They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms (or, creeping things) of the earth: they shall be afraid of the LORD our God, and shall fear because of thee.

In the above scripture, the worms are the people who are not following God's ways / laws.

shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel - Gen.3:15

Rom.16:20 - And the God of peace shall bruise (or, tread) Satan under your feet shortly. The grace (or, the strength) of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you. Amen.

Heb.2:14 - Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he (Jesus) also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

John 3:8-12 - He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. (9) Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed (God's seed - the word of God) remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. (10) In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. For this is the message (or, commandment), that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. (12) Not as Cain, [who] was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.

Now let me go back and try to pull some of this together.

In Gen.3:15 - we see that God put an enmity (or, hatred, hostility) between the seed of the serpent and the seed of the woman (or, the seed of God). Now there are 2 story lines to follow at the same time - 1) is the seed of deception, (the serpent/devil/Satan's way) and 2) the seed of God (or the word of God).

Luke 8:11 - Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. - See - Parable of the Sower.

Please keep in mind, the serpent is an "evil spirit," not a person. The serpent/Satan, the dragon/the devil, also known as the adversary, they are all one and the same - is an evil spirit - see - Rev.12:9 above again. So what the serpent has done is planted evil or bad seed (words) in the mind of the woman. Don't forget, the serpent/Satan is the enemy.

If the seed of God is "good" words, then the serpent is going to sow, or plant bad seed or thoughts in the mind of the woman (Eve), and thus that is what is still taking place with us every day. REMEMBER: Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: - I Peter 5:8

You must understand the Parable of the Sower, as well as the Parable of The Kingdom and the Sower; also see - Tares; The Enemy--The Devil and His Followers

Let me continue summing up Gen.3:14-17
- The serpent is "cursed," above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life.
- Because Adam harkened unto the voice of his wife instead of listening and obeying God - "cursed" [is] the the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat [of] it all the days of thy life.

Notice that both the serpent and Adam are "cursed" and both shall eat of the ground (or, dust), all the days of thy life. Read Deut.28:15-20 above again to see the "curses."

So if you are not of the seed of God - doing God's work, keeping his commandments, bringing forth the fruit of the Spirit and living righteously -- then you are of the devil or the antichrist - as simple as that! - see I John 3:8-12 above again.

Let us continue with -

Gen.4:12-15 - When thou (Cain) tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth. (13) And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment [is] greater than I can bear. (or, mine iniquity is greater than may be forgiven) (14) Behold, thou (the Lord) hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy (the Lord's) face shall I (Cain) be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, [that] every one that findeth me shalt slay me. (15) And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.

Rev.20:4 - and I (John) saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and [I saw] the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received [his] mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

In the above scripture, ...neither had received [his] mark upon their foreheads, .... is referring to the devil or Satan -- it is also making reference to the mark which Cain received back in Genesis 4, see above.

At this time, I would ask you to read Rev.13:1-18 so that I can show you the mark of the beast.

Rev.13:12 - And he (the dragon) exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

Let us take moment to look at -

Gen.4:16 - And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

Again -

And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD,....

Cain no longer followed the ways of the Lord, he did whatever he wanted to do. - See - "Cisterns," in Fountains of Living Waters vs. Cisterns

of the LORD - Gen.4:16

Please read II Kings 13:23; II Kings 24:18-20 then read Jer.52:1-3

Jer.23:39 - Therefore, behold, I, (the Lord), even I, will utter forget you, and I will forsake you, and the city that I gave you and your fathers, [and cast you] out of my presence:

In the above scripture, the Lord is referring to false prophets, who are prophesying in the Lord's name, but the Lord did not send them. These prophets have a dream and tell this dream to the people instead of telling the people the Lord's word, and the people believe the dream and forget the words of the Lord. So if the people forget the Lord's word the Lord will forget the people.

You may not think that the above verse applys to Cain in Gen.4:16, but if Cain went out from the presence of the Lord - he is no longer following the Lord's ways. In Jer.23:39, the people believe in a dream and forget the words of the Lord and he will cast you out of his presence. Please read the above scripture again.

Now let us take a look at the first beast in -

Gen.3:1, 4, 13 - Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? (4) And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: (13) And the LORD God said unto the woman, What [is] this [that] thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled (or, deceived) me, and I did eat.

I have given you Gen.3:14-17 above, please go back and read again. And the serpent was more subtil -

than any beast of the field - Gen.3:1

Rev.12:9 - And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. - See - Luke 10:18 above again.

Rev.20:2 - And he (the angel) laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years. - The "angel" referred to here is Michael - the archangel, - See - Dan.12:1; Jude 9; Deut.34:6 and Zech.3:2

So now I have shown you who the first beast is - the serpent, the Devil - Satan.

This is just one aspect of the story "Mark of the Beast," there is also the history and political aspect which I do not go into , but if you would like to read about this find a good site which covers that part of the story. I can give you the name of one document which I find rather enlightening, "German Trickery," at Bible Prophecy for the World Today, you will find the url at the bottom of the page you can copy and paste into your location window.

The Bible is a very complex book, often there is more than one version or story, within a story, much like an optic prism, and one must be able to look and listen and keep an open mind, without being deceived. You may even have to put the stories, or parts of the stories together, to get the overall picture. Just because it is not what you have heard or been taught before does not make it incorrect.

For example, I have given you a glimpse of 2 stories within this document. Continuing -

Also, when God created the heavens and the earth and all that is in thereof, he did it in six (6) days, and he rested on the seventh.

However, the devil's work is never done and his number is six hundred three score and six, or (666)---for Satan, there is no rest.

Now the mark could be a number of different things or a combination of things:

I Tim.6:10, 17-19 - For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. (17) Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; (18) That they to good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; (19) Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

I Tim.6:6-7 - But godliness with contentment is great gain. (7) For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

Please read all of I Timothy chapter 6 for yourself

Certainly all of the things listed above will have an impact on how one lives their lives, but deceiving, is certainly one of the things Jesus warned us about repeatedly, he also told us to love one another with righteousness just as he loved us.

Dictionary definition - lying - to utter a falsehood with the intention to deceive

Even if we think we have gotten away with a lie, God knows, and it will be brought forth on judgment day

Matt.12:36-37 - But I (Jesus) say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. (37) For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

John 16:8-11 - And when he (Jesus) is come, he will reprove (or, convict) the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: (9) Of sin, because they believe not on me; (10) Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; (11) Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. - See - "the children of disobedience," below.

Eph.2:2 - Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, (the devil/Satan), the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Rev.21:27 - And there shall in no wise enter into it (the new city), any thing that defileth, neither [whatsoever] worketh abomination, or [maketh] a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life. - See - What Defiles a Person; Iniquity and Vanity; Sins of the Tongue or Speech; Parable of the Fruit--Tree of Life

No one will be able to enter into the new city, Jerusalem, spoken of in Rev.3:12 and Rev.21:2 & 27, who has defiled themselves, only those who bring forth the fruit of the Spirit, - who live righteously, will be able enter the new city. See - Parable of the Fruit--Tree of Life

And in -

Matt.24:4 - And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

Matt.24:23-24 - Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. (24) - For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

There are many, many places in the Bible where it states - take heed that no man deceive you or take heed lest you be deceived.

Because Jesus has stated it so often, I believe that deceiving / lying is a mark of the devil.

Rev.12:17 - The dragon was wroth with the woman and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Rev. 13:16-18 - And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: (17) - And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. (18) - Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. (or 666)

Using the ten commandments, what number was the commandment that Cain broke and lied about? Thou shalt not kill. - See - Ten Commandments

Eph.2:2 - Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

the children of disobedience - Eph.2:2

Col.3:6 - For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness (or, wicked spirits), in high [places].

I Peter 5:8 - Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Rev.22:14-15 - Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. (15) - For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. - See - Fruit - Tree of Life; Temples of God - Churches

The serpent beguiled, deceived or, lied to the woman (Eve); Cain not only killed his brother Abel, but also lied to God about it.

Again -

Because Jesus has stated it so often, I believe that deceiving / lying is a mark of the devil.

But, I also believe that being disobedient to God - that is, not obeying the commandments of God, is the "major" mark of the devil - the beast. God only gave one commandment to Adam and the woman (Eve), and that was, not to eat of the tree of good and evil, and the serpent, (the devil/Satan) beguiled, or deceived the woman (Eve) into thinking that she would not die if she partook of the tree of good and evil. And when Adam and Eve both partook of the tree which God told them not to, they immediately, knew they were naked and perceived that it was not good and hid in the garden when God came to talk with Adam later.

Adam and the woman (Eve) broke the one and only commandment that God gave them, and for this reason, I believe, breaking, or not keeping the commandments of God is the major mark of the beast. We are told over and over and over again, to keep the commandments of God. - Please see - Rev.12:17 and Rev.22:14 above again. And the dragon was (is) wroth with the woman and went to make war (spiritual war) with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ - see - Rev.12:17 The serpent/the dragon/Satan is still making spiritual war with us, day and night.

REMEMBER: The Lord God made the woman as a "help meet" - a helper, for the man, not a sex mate or a play mate as some may put it.

Matt.7:13-14 - Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: (14) Because strait is the gait, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. - See - Parable of the Fruit--Tree of Life

Lying and breaking the commandments of God, are both marks of the devil/Satan, which one is the worst - or do they go together.

And the love of money is the root of all evil. Those who have it, sometimes wield it as power over others, those who do not have it, strive to obtain it any way they can, and regardless of how much or how little money that you have, there is always somebody trying to take it away from you - even if they have to lie or deceive you - or be ruthless to get it. Do you wish you had more money? - then you are probably guilty of worshipping money, or the establishments which make money for you. Think about that.

Give to those - people and/or organizations, that you will - but do it without grudging.

Read all of Revelation chapter 18 for yourself, I will just give you -

Rev.18:2 & 4 - And he (the angel) cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. (4) And I (John) heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. - See - Four Sore Judgments

You may want to take a long, hard, look at what you are doing in your life - do you lie to yourself and to others? do you break the commandments of God? do you worship money? What materialistic things do you worship? What person do you hold in esteem more than God? What is it that you worship more than God - then may be you had better repent and worship God only. ...Come out of her my people, ....
