THE GOOD SHEPHERD

Where there is a Bible verse quoted in this document, then Jesus is speaking.

All text is taken from the King James Bible

Let us begin this Bible study with a prayer, O God, thy heavenly Father, grant me the wisdom and knowledge, so that I may be able to understand this document, in Jesus name. Amen.

John 10:7 - Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

John 10:9 - I am the door: by me if any man (or person) enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

Pasture is nourishment of the word of God. See

Fountain of Living Waters

All of these documents will help verify and explain that we must follow God's laws.

John 10:15 - As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

Jesus gave his life so that we might be saved.

John 10:14 - I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. See - Judgment of the Nations

John 10:27 - My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

Jesus is the good shepherd and he knows those who are following God's laws and he laid down his life for them, See - Sign, Mark and Seal of God

Heb.13:20-21 - Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, (or testament) (21) Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever, Amen.

I realize that most of this document has been printed in bold, but it is very important that you understand that Jesus is the good shepherd and those that choose to follow him, are his sheep.
