This Lord's Word Explained document contains prayers to pray for peace of the people - for the hostility to be brought under control throughout the entire world.
It is important for you to know and understand, that we cannot demand or command God to bless us, or our country, we can only ask - "may, God bless...," and depending on what you are praying for, you may need to include "however, not as I will, but as thy will," because it is up to God to grant what he will, either to you, or to others you pray for. You need to also remember to pray to God, but to end your prayer, in Jesus name, or something similar. Amen.

In the words of the late, President, John F. Kennedy, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country."
We can all pray -
O God, thy heavenly Father, we pray that the people in Iraq lay down their weapons and not fight for the Iraqi leader or his regimen. We pray that the anger and hostility be subdued in the Middle East areas and throughout the entire world. We pray also, for the safety of the men and women of the allied armed forces during this conflict, and we pray for the safety of the innocent men, women and children in Iraq, in Jesus name we ask. Amen.
O God, thy heavenly Father, we thank you for those who laid down their weapons in Iraq and did not fight for the Iraqi leader or his regimen. We ask that those who are still resisting to lay down their weapons, so that a new government can be established in that nation, the choice of the Iraqi people - one that includes freedom of all the people. We pray the country be re-built as quickly as possible. We ask this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
O God, thy heavenly Father, we pray, those who are terrorizing the people all over the world, stop. We ask this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
With the war in Iraq nearly over, let us pray - O God, thy heavenly Father, we pray that the food, water and medical assistance be brought to the people in Iraq quickly. We pray that the Iraqi people return to their jobs to restore the water supply, electrical and phone lines. We pray that the rebuilding of the cities begin soon, so that those who have no place to live will again have a home to live in and feel safe and we pray that all the Iraqi people soon feel safe and secure now they have been liberated. We pray that the police will again return to their jobs to stop the looting, and restore order in the cities, but to not use the rules of the old regime. We pray that the people in Iraq work together to set up a new form of government or leadership they want, but, one which will include all groups of people and one which the people will be able to freely elect their leader. And now that the Iraqi people have been liberated, we pray that the word of the Lord be brought to them, in Jesus name we ask. Amen.
O God, thy heavenly Father, we pray for the safety of the men and women who are searching for the terrorists throughout the world, and ask that you watch over and guide them, so that they will be successful in putting an end to the violence against the innocent people everywhere, in Jesus name we ask. Amen.
O God, thy heavenly Father, we pray for the those people who have any information on who, and/or where terrorists are hiding throughout the world, we ask the people to be brave and come forward and let the proper authorities know, so that we may all live in peace everywhere, in Jesus name we ask. Amen.
