Meet Guido Malandruccolo

Guido was born in Ripi, Frosinone, Italy. When he was in his twenties, he took his family and moved to Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Soon after moving to Canada, Guido realized that a hunting dog like the Spinone Italiano did not exist in North America. He decided that the only way to acquire a dog that was a versatile hunter, great family member and obedient friend, was to import a Spinone Italiano from Italy.

Guido became affectionately known as the "Grandfather of Spinoni", in North America, because of this. Guido now breeds, raises and trains Spinoni at his kennel, Di Morghengo Kennel, in Windsor. He breeds his Spinoni with excellence in mind, ensuring that his breeding lines are strong and healthy. This has allowed Guido to breed hundreds of Champions, including Westminster Best of Breed, Sheynia Di Morghengo.
