Bell Peppers and Paneer

Serves 4

  • 200 grams (about 8 oz.) paneer, cut into 1/2" cubes
  • 2 green bell peppers cut into long thin strips
  • 4 flakes garlic crushed
  • 2 TBSP oil
  • 1 tsp each: red chilli, coriander and hot spice mix (garam masala) powders
  • 8 tablespoons tomato puree
  • salt and sugar to taste

Heat oil and garlic on medium level in a pan for about 2 minutes. Add green bell pepper strips and stir fry on high heat for a few seconds.  Add paneer and let brown slightly.

Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, tomato puree, salt and sugar. Mix well. Cook on medium heat uncovered for about 6 minutes.  You may wish to add a bit of water to keep the mixture from drying out.

Serve hot.
