Toronto based artist.
Working in oils on board, Elizabeth explores shape, texture and colour, striving to convey a sense of time and place and an almost visceral enjoyment of the painting process.
She tries to use salvaged/reclaimed wood as much as possible.
Her subjects include streetscapes, landscapes and in the last few years has painted many farm subjects, notably cattle and tractors.
“The farm subjects are an ‘a la recherche du temps perdu’ experience for me, since as a young child I spent a memorable year living next to a farm in rural Ontario.”
Elizabeth has participated in many juried shows, and her paintings can be seen at Arts on Queen and Spectrum Gallery (Toronto).
