Biography Dominique
A.H. Linchet
She earned a B.A. in Romance Philology from the Facultés Notre Dame de
la Paix in Namur, Belgium, and a M.A. in Romance Philology from the Université
Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium. She taught French for four years at Charlotte Country Day School in
Charlotte, NC. In 1995, she earned a Ph.D. in Romance Philology from the University of
North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She joined the faculty at Birmingham-Southern College in 1994 and is
currently holding the title of Associate Professor of French. Dr. Linchet’s current research interests focus on the Holocaust and
its representation in French literature. She is particularly concerned with issues of identity and reader
reception in post-Holocaust literature.
