Frontenacs Cards and More Nifty Stuff
HOME Return to Jersey Page
The following are all legitimate cards, signature or other wise. This is a small sampling of some of the cards that I have collected. Many have been pulled by myself, some I have traded for and some I have used Ebay to obtain a card I really want.
The ticket is from 1959 my first hockey game and the first ever Kingston Frontrenacs game played at the Memorial Centre
Two of my most treasured items
The TICKET
This is the 1959 first ever Kingston Frontenac ticket. The scan is of the front and back. Doyles Bakery is the sponsor on the back. I have three of these Sec 5 Row F Seat 10, 11 and 12. These tickets hold many memories as this game was the first game I attended, I had just turned 9 years old. The teams in the - Eastern Professional Hockey League (EPHL) were Kingston Frontenacs; Montreal Royals; Trois-Rivieres; Sudbury Soo Thunderbirds and the Hull Canadians. Check out the price of the ticket - tax included!!!

Jayna Hefford
This is a signed 5x7 in card of Jayna Hefford wearing the medal. The back of the card is personalized to me - it says it all.
The Grads and Past Players, (just some of my favorite players, unfortunately I can't put them all here)
Hopefully these put a smile on your face as they stir up some memories.
| Player Description | The Card |
| Jay Wells - one of the toughest and most feared defenseman ever to play in the past or present. | |
| Behn (Big Behn) Wilson - another tough one but had the scoring touch plus he is a Rhodes Scholar. | |
| Tim (Moose) Kerr. Great hands made him a great scorer in the OHL and NHL. Back on the old days he was HUGE 6'3" 230 lb. | |
| Ken (The Rat) Linseman - what can I say about him - for those that never saw him play you missed a super star. Only 5'11" but he played like he was 6'6". He would not back down from nothing. His Stories are legend. This is a new card of a very young Linseman. Fleer GOLD Throwbacks. | |
| Chris Gratton - Great scorer and tough as nails.
This is his first Jersey Card from First Edition 2002/2003 Be a
Player.
The second card is from MVP a red script signature 23 of 25 too cool. |
|
| Tony McKegney - great scorer and great NHL career. The good news is he was one of the best natural scorers in the OHL - the bad news, he was one of the worst fighters in the league. I only saw him in one fight and I said thank God it is over and he is still alive. I remember my mother meeting him in a restaurant before the a Canadians game, he said to her I'll score a goal for you Mrs. Sports Fan - he got three. | |
| David (Linger) Ling - Kingston's only CHL player
of the year - I'm still pushing to have his #17 retired. Who could forget
The bell - when it really meant something along with "My Ding-a-Ling"
to get things really stirred up.
David is my all time favorite Frontenac. This is a signed Syracuse Crunch
Card. I have his #135 Upper Deck Ice card - Fresh Faces numbered 906 out
of 1000 but it doesn't scan well. Added 20 Mar 04 - David's picture on the
cover of the OHL guide.
Winner of 1995 OHL Most Valuable Player 1995 CHL Player of the Year 1995 Jim Mahon Memorial Trophy |
|
| Marc Moro - I must say I do like the tough defensemen. Marc was traded when he was our captain - that hurt big time. This is a signed Predators First signature card. | |
| Brett Clouthier a nice gentle player who often had political and family heritage debates on the ice. This is his signed Albany River Rat card. | |
| Chad Kilger - another kid that left early before his Jr. career was over. This is his a Be a Player Rookie Quotable Card signature card. | |
| Tyler Moss - we have had some good goalies T.J. definitely ranks up there with the best we have had. I have five Signature cards of T.J. this one is the 1998/99 Be a player Card #17 Calgary Card - the other card is from a card Expo #1 of 10. I have #2 and #5 also. 2001 Between the Pipes #66 | |
| Craig Rivet - another D-man. Craig is probably the most under rated defenseman in the NHL. Steady and stays at home but has offensive skills. He doesn't have too many cards out there - this is one of the best. 1998 Pinnacle Be a Player Signature #102 | |
| Matt Bradley - you didn't think I wouldn't have any of Matt did you. What can I say - definitely ranks up there as one of my favorites. This is a 2001 Signature Series Card #102 - First Signature Card. The card is a bit dark in the scan. | |
| Michael (Ziggy) Zigomanis - The heart and soul
of the Fronts when he played - It was said "How Ziggy went - so did
the Fronts" It was true. This is one of 2 I have UD SP Authentic
Signature Card #MZ.
Just received today15 May 1999 Topps Bowman CHL #BAS |
Michael Zigomains - UD SP AS #MZ |
| Cory Stillman - These two cards are from the CHL UD Prospect Game Used Edition. I talk to Cory and he said he had to sign 300 of them. | |
| Chris Clifford - another great goalie - who can forget his goal - His Kingston Canadians Card | |
| Todd Elik - another Kingston Canadian that went onto the NHL. I put this one in here just for those that remember the Cooperalls. I'm glad they gave these things up. | |
| Kirk Muller - I had to put Captain Kirk in here. The Kingston Canadian Card is of a very young Kirk. He was 15 when he played for Kingston then got drafted by Guelph. The second card is his 1998 BAP signature Card | |
| SOME CARDS TO MAKE YOU GO - OH!!! or OH NO NOT HIM!!!! | |
| Paul Coffey - Played a few games for Kingston when he too was only 15 but this one is his NHL rookie card 1981 OPC Card #111 - in really good to NM shape | |
| Jari Kurri - didn't play for Kingston but this is his NHL rookie card 1981 OPC Card #102 it too is in really good to NM shape. | |
| Wayne (The Great One #99) Gretzky - this is his NHL OPC 1979 rookie card #18. Unfortunately this card is not in as good as shape as the ones above. Damn. But still it is rookie card so I'm still happy I have it. | |
| Tie Domi - One of my Fav's 2002 UD SP Authentic 1144 out of 1620 | |
| Darryl Sittler - when I pulled this card I almost had the big one. There wasn't a dry eye in the house when the Leafs retired #27 the past year very emotional. I've included the front and back of this card, after all 10 points in one game deserves something special - hell 10 pts is more than some guys career. The Card is 2001 Fleer Greats of the Game. Truly a class act. |
Sittler - Back - Authenticity Cert.
|
| Henri (The Pocket Rocket) Richard - this is also a 2001 Fleer Greats of the Game. It came out of the same box as Sittler's card. This is a game used stick card | |
| Guy ( The Flower) Lafleur - Another legend - 2001 UD Vintage Jersey Card | |
| Mike Comrie - One of the better signed cards out of the 2003 OPC/Topps. Again I was ecstatic when I pulled it. | |
| Marty McSorley - I have several game used McSorley cards this is my favorite. He sure played tough in the OHL and NHL. Card is number 19 out of 95 WOW! | |
| Doug Flutie - HEY WAIT A MINUTE - Flutie didn't play hockey - your correct. He is however one of my favorite football players - Flutie Flakes and all. This is a number jersey card 249 out of 800. 2002 UD XL Super Swatch. | |
| LORD OF THE RINGS CARDS | |
| Samwise (Sam) Gamgee (aka Sean Astin)- Frodos best and most trusted friend. This is a piece of Sam's traveling coat he wore in the movie. This card is extremely thick. Like All the LOTR memorabilia cards they are in high demand. | |
| Meriadoc (Merry) Bradnybuck (aka Dominic Monaghan). A it of a loose cannon more concerned over beer and food than anything else but he comes through for Frodo. Like Sam's above this too is a piece of Merry's traveling coat he wore in the movie. | |
| FRONTENACS AND OTHER PICTURES | |
| This is a picture of Scott Maher showing Peterborough Pete's Trevor Hendrikx his new manicure. This was short fight as unfortunately Hendrikx was cut, don't like to see anybody get hurt but boys will be boys. The game was 21 Nov 03, Petes won 6-5 in OT | |
| BOOK - Hockey's Hub by J.W. (Bill) Fitsell and
Mark Potter. A great book for any hockey fan. The pictures are of the
cover, Mr. Fitsell autographed it for me at one of the Fronts game, so did
Captain Kirk. I bought my book at the International Hockey Hall of Fame
beside the M-Centre
|
|
| Kingston Stanley cup winning goals a great poster of 4 very famous Kingston hockey players that have scored Stanley Cup winning goals. Bill Cook; Ken "The Rat" Linseman; Doug Gilmour and Kirk Muller. Again I bought this at the International Hockey Hall of Fame beside the M-Centre. I had to take the picture from the side as there was too much reflection from the glass front. | |
