MARINE PAINTINGS

Original watercolour painting (frame: 17 1/4" L x 12 3/4" W; image: 14 1/2" L x 9"W),

dated & described on the back, "Royal Halifax Yacht Club Fleet, 1867, Run for Prince of Wales Cup", and signed, J.H.

It's in very good condition with some foxing throughout but no tears,  no pieces missing or replaced, and very nicely delineated,

& recently re-matted in acid free matting.

According to "First in It's Class: the story of the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron" by Nancie Erhard (Nimbus Press, 1986)

the winner of the races that year was a yacht named "Wave".
