ADVANCED SQUARE DANCE CLUB

Adams' Aces was created in September 1993 and is today the longest running "A1" Club in the Ottawa Area.
Adams' Aces proudly boasts as being the home club to some of this area's most accomplished, knowledgeable and dedicated Square Dancers, willing and eager to welcome, support, encourage and assist any and all newcomers to this program. Together with our Caller Couple Paul & Judy Adams we will provide you with the knowledge and guidance to a fantastic fun-filled future in Advanced Square Dancing.
Our Caller will post "Calls To Be Featured in the Program" in his BLOG on the morning of each dance date.

Adams' Aces is an "A1" club, dancing on
Monday evenings from 8:00pm until 10:00pm at the
W.E.Gowling Public School 250 Anna Street in Ottawa,
from mid September until the end of April. This gym
has hardwood flooring, a stage, and holds ten to twelve
squares comfortably.

ABOUT OUR DANCING

We dance all the calls on the "A1" Callerlab list
and are practicing to Dance By Definition, or All Position Dancing. Which means dancing
all the calls from standard and nonstandard, right & left handed, clockwise & counter
clockwise, & asymmetric positions. This is not always easy, however with good
guidance and patience from our caller and the dancers who already know, we are
progressing at a steady pace. Our caller also gives us most of the calls from the
Basic, Mainstream, & Plus lists. This allows our dancers to attend dances of those programs,
and dance with confidence, even though they do not regularly dance in a Basic, Mainstream, or Plus club.
