Dancing Dates 2009 / 2010 2009, Sept.14,21,28. Oct.5,19,26. Nov.2,9,16,23,30. Dec.7.
Adams' Aces is an "A1" "A2"club, dancing on
2010, Jan.4,11,18,25. Feb.1,8,22. Mar.1,8,15,22,29. Apr.12,19,26.
Monday evenings from 8:00pm until 10:00pm at the
W.E.Gowling Public School 250 Anna Street in Ottawa,
from mid September until the end of April. This gym
has hardwood flooring, a stage, and holds ten to twelve
squares comfortably.
We dance all the calls on the "A1" Callerlab list,and
this year we have two "A2" tips per night
and are practicing to Dance By Definition, or All Position Dancing. Which means dancing
all the calls from standard and nonstandard, right & left handed, clockwise & counter
clockwise, & asymmetric positions. This is not always easy, however with good
guidance and patience from our caller and the dancers who already know, we are
progressing at a steady pace. Our caller also gives us most of the calls from the
Basic, Mainstream, & Plus lists. This allows our dancers to attend dances of those
programs,
and dance with confidence, even though they do not regularly dance in a Basic, Mainstream, or
Plus club.
