In the name of God, Amen. I George Schryver of the Township of Frederick
=sburg in the Incorporated County of lennox and Addington in the Midland
District and Province of Upper Canada Yeoman being through the abundant
Mercies of God though feeble and weak in Body yet of a sound and perfect mind
and Memmory do constitute this my last Will and Testament and desire it may be
received as such First I most humbly bequeath my Soul to my Maker beseaching
His most gracious acceptance of it through the All sufficient merits and mediation
of my most compassionate Redeemer Jesus Christ (difficult to read)
whence it was tyaken in full assurance of its return from thence at the Last (.)
         As for my Burial I desire it may be decent without Pomp or Vanity the
discretion of my dear wife and Executors hereafter named whom I doubt not will man
age it with all requisite prudence. As to my worldly Estate I will and positively
order that all my Debts be honestly paid. I will and bequeath to my Son John
Five Pounds lawful money to be paid to him or his Heirs out of my Goods and Chattles
I will and bequeath to my son Reuben five pounds of lawful money to be paid to him
or his Heirs out of my Goods and Chattles and to be learnt a Trade. I will and bequeath to
my five Daughters viz. Nancy, Rachel, Caroline, Viney and Margaret one Cow to each
of them as they become Eighteen years old or at the time of Marriage if it should so
happen before they arrive to the age of Eighteen years old. I will and bequeath to my
Son George the North end of the west half of Lot number seventeen in the fourth
Concession of the Township of fredericksburg up to the north bank of what is called
big Creek to him and his Heir forever and to my Dear and loving wife Cathe
=rine I will and bequeath that she shall have whole and sole use and manageme
=nt of all my land lying south of said big Creek together with all my Household
Goods debts and moveable effects as long as she remains my widow & at which
Period I will and bequeath that the said Land together with the Household Goods debts
and moveable Effects may remain be remain be equally divided in two parts and given to
my two Sons Jacob & Walter. Finally I do make and Constitute my two worthy & trusty
friends Mathias Smith and Jacob Smith the Executors of this my last Will and
Testament for the intent and purposes above mentioned and to see the same duly
fullfilled in every part without fraud or Guile as Trustees for my wife and Children
as above. I witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this fifteenth
day of June in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred & Twenty Two
