Peaceful Arts Peace Pole

The Peace Pole is a permanent monument for World Peace. It is a place to come, to sit, to meditate, or to pray. It is a place to send messages of Peace. It is a place to receive the Peace we are so often in need of. It is a place to remind us to keep peace ever present in our hearts and minds. We must find peace within before we will fine Peace outside of our self. We must be the change we are looking for. We may think that we, being only one person cannot bring Peace to the world, but it only takes one heart at a time to eventually achieve this great cause.

Peace Pole

You are invited to visit this Peace Pole whenever you need to have your spirits lifted, whenever you are in need of inner peace. You are also invited to visit this Peace Pole to send prayers to people or places that you want to support in their need. You are invited to visit this Peace Pole just because it is here for you.

The Peace Pole Project

There are more than 200,000 Peace Poles in more than 180 countries around the world. The Peace Pole project was founded by a non-profit, non-denominational organization in 1955 headed by Masahisa Goi. Some of the more notable Peace Poles are found at the Magnetic North Pole, the Hiroshima Peace Memorial and the Egyptian Pyramids in Giza.

With the belief that thought forms are energy powerful enough to create change, and that words carry energy vibrations strong enough to inspire and transform all of creation, the prayer "May Peace Prevail on Earth" is written on each side of the pole in a different language. The languages chosen have special meaning to whoever has planted the Peace Pole. The pole can have from four to twelve sides, and can be bought or hand crafted.

The Peace Pole project is dedicated to uplifting the human spirit, reminding us to keep peace ever present in our hearts and minds. Peace must first be found within before it can be transpired to others. Visiting a Peace Pole to pray or just rest, can be helpful in times of stress.

When a Peace Pole is planted a silent prayer of peace is sent throughout the world, linking to other Peace Poles, and can be thought of as giving the earth 'acupuncture' for Peace. The message of Peace continues to flow 24/7 and can be felt deeply within the heart, each time a Peace Pole is visited.

A Peace Pole Ceremony is held to dedicate it, bringing people together from all walks of life, with one universal cause. Prayer, music, and ritual plant the seed of Peace deep within the earth, promoting the healing of hearts on a universal level. Each year the Peace Pole can be rededicated, renewing a commitment to Peace on Earth, and strengthening the message the pole contains.

"May Peace Prevail on Earth" is an all-inclusive prayer, bringing together people of all faiths, backgrounds and cultures to embrace Oneness.

Our Peace Pole
Our Peace Pole was planted and dedicated to "World Peace Through Inner Peace" on September 21, 2007. There were approximately 35 people in attendance, each taking a turn to say their own personal prayer of peace while lighting a candle and placing it under the the Peace Pole.

Our Peace Pole has four languages, one for each direction of the four quarters of the earth. To the East we have Japanese, in honour of the origin of the Peace Prayer. To the South we have Brazilian/Portuguese, the language of Brazil from where many of our beautiful stone specimens come. To the West we have English, the most used language in our community. And to the North we have Inuktitut, the language of our Inuit friends.

We have some unique features on our Peace Pole. At the bottom of the Pole we have installed a Quartz Point. Quartz are known for being wonderful energy transmitters. At the top of the Pole we have installed 4 Larmimar. Larmimar stones are known to send Love and Peace and to lift the consciousness level of those using it. We have also placed a Genesa Crystal at the top. The Genesa Crystal is a Sacred Geometric structure, known as a spherical cube octahedron, which reflects the 8 cell cluster cellular pattern of every embryonic living organism. The next cell split determines what that living organism will become. So essentially the Genesa Crystal represents the potential for any possibility. Its shape is perfectly aligned with nature, and generates an energy vortex that amplifies the intentions of those in its presence. It acts as an antenna that attracts, cleanses, balances and amplifies energy. It is referred to as a crystal because its geometric shape, which is similar to that of natural crystals, creates a vortex of energy that resonates indefinitely.

Dr. Derald Langham, a plant geneticist, coined the phrase "Genesa" to describe this geometric structure, in the 1940's when he was observing how cells divide and grow. In his words, "Genesa is the coded matrix of your own life force and is directly related to the living energy moving in spirals in all forms of growth, development, and change."
