Who We Are
The Compassionate Friends is an international,volunteer, self-help organization
offering friendship, understanding, grief education and hope for the future to
families who have
suffered the death of a child at any age.
The mission of The Compassionate Friends is to aid in the positive reconciliation of
grief and foster the physical and emotional health of bereaved parents and their
surviving children and to help others to be supportive.
The Ottawa Chapter of The Compassionate Friends meets on the third Tuesday of
each month from 7pm to 9pm. For June, July and August we will be meeting at the
Pinecrest-Queensview Community Health Centre at 1365 Richmond Road, Nepean.
Directions : From Highway 417, take the Pinecrest Road exit. Take Pinecrest Road
North to the second set of lights. Turn right onto Richmond Road.Follow Richmond Road
across Carling Avenue and continue to Croydon Avenue. PQCHC is in the Richmond
Square 2 building on the left-hand side opposite the Lincoln Fields shooping centre.
