In Memoriam

May Love Be What We Remember Most

Eric was a beautiful child - in body and in spirit
With eyes that danced with irresistible energy
and an eternal smile that echoed on the faces of others,
His constant chatter and frequent laughter were my music

Eric was rainbows and flowers,
Sunny days and warm breezes,
Laughter and love.

His life was about giving,
Giving unselfishly of himself.
Other people coming first,
A hug, a kiss when they were needed,
And even when they weren't.

He was my friend as well as my little boy, .................I hope he knows how many lives he touched in a short time,
He loved me unquestionably as I did him. ................The people whose lives he brightened
Never doubting, never needing assurance, .................And whose hearts he captured.
Just knowing and secure in the person he was. ...........We are all so much better for knowing him.

He was wise beyond his short seven years, .................Eric left a wonderful legacy of love and giving,
Wise in knowing the need of those around him, .........Because of this, he will always be with us,
Wise in the way of the heart, .....................................Not just in our hearts and memories,
Some people never obtain in a life time. ......................But also in the way we live,
................................................................................................................................... .................A greater teacher we could never have had.

There is a face that haunts us ever,
And a voice which brought us cheer,
And a smile we'll forever remember,
When in silence we dry every tear.
..................................... Love always, Mom and Dad

Their smiles are easy to remember,
Though their voices are fading with the years,
Their faces I will cherish forever,
Thru pictures wet with my tears.

............... Love you both always, Mom

AWPA Please don't ask us if we're over it yet;we'll never be over it.
Please don't tell us she is in a better place; she isn't here with us.
Please don't tell us you know how we feel, unless you have lost a child.
Please don't ask us if we feel better, bereavement isn't a condition that clears up.
Please don't tell us at least we had her for 21 years; what year would you chose for your child to die?
Please don't tell us God doesn't give us more than we can bear.
Please, just say you are sorry
Please, just say you remember Heather, if you do.
Please, just let us talk about Heather.
And please mention her name.
Please, just let us cry.

Heather's broken-hearted family,
Dad, Andy - Mom, Kathy
Brothers Roger, Gary, Bryan, Trevor and Sister Tracy

Heather was killed in a hit and run alcohol-related crash as she stood
at the side of the road with her best friend, who was injured, but survived.

My Angel Is With Me
An angel stands beside me or looks down from above.
A gentle flutter of the wings fans my face with love.
The angel that I'm dreaming of no longer is with me.
The love that once surrounded us is now happy memories.
The breeze that touches on my face makes me smile despite my loss.
In my heart, I know my angels love is never lost.
...... Love you forever, miss you always,
Mom, Dad, Jessika and Justine

AWPA In loving memory of our dear daughter Amanda
Amanda was born in Montreal and moved to Kempville area at the age of six. She attended
South Branch Elementary School and then on to North Grenville High School where she would
have graduated Grade 12 in 2004. Amanda loved playing her guitar, snowboarding. loved to
read, goimg to movies, shopping and camping. High School was the best time of her life.
She not only loved school but was involved with Student Council and the Year Book Committee.
Amanda wanted Grade 12 to be a memorable year for herself and her friends. Amanda planned on
attending Carleton University to enter the field of Psychology something she had dreamed of
for a long time.
No farewell words were spoken.
No time to say goodbye.
You were gone before we knew it
and only God knows why.
Our hearts still ache with with sadness
and secret tears still flow.
For what it meant to lose you Amanda
no one will ever know.

Love Mom, Dad, Daniel and Lady

If I leave here tomorrow,
Would you still remember me?
For I must be trav'ling on now
'Cause there's too many places I've got to see...

- from the song "Free Bird"
by Lynyrd Skynyrd

.... We love you, we miss you, you are in our thoughts forever.

"Small Time, but in that small, most greatly lived this star..." Shakespeare

How do you measure a life? The thousand myriad ways in which
your music, your laughter, your hopes and dreams were woven so
inextricably into our lives. The colours of your life were deep blues
and greens, the colour of sound. Those colours are now missing from
the design, those threads were cut off too soon. Without you, the
pattern that was our family unravels all around us. And though we
hope that one day a new pattern may reveal itself, we know it cannot
be as strong or whole, as rich and beautiful as it once was. We will
miss you every day, for all our lives. We love you.

Mom, Dad, Sohrab and Shireen

If tears could build a stairway,
and memories a lane,
I'd walk right up to Heaven
and bring you Home again,

AWPA You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left -Baby Ireland.

Your heart can be empty because you can't see her
Or you can be full of the love that you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember her and only that she is gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back,
Or you can do what she would want:
smile, open your eyes,
love and go on.

Forever Loved and Painfully Missed Each And Everyday by:
Your Baby Ireland, Mom, Dad and Gary,
The Predham, Harvey, Vardy and Staubitzer Families
And All Your Dear Friends

AT NIGHT I LAY IN STILLNESS

At night I lay in stillness, soon slipping off to heavenís realm
You are coming round a curve, striding tall, I see your grin
Illuminationís purest light radiates your lifelike form
Our eyes meet and souls connect, thereís no need to mourn
Then you turn and off you stride, full of purpose from my sight

I awake and sitting straight, Iíve seen your face made clear to me
In darkness I have been, so many endless days to see
A hint now of something there, lifeís renewal, purpose given
As your presence changed my life, so too has your absence
Forever protected not to be, instead a knowing, thatís the key

From the moment I knew you were coming
To the moment you left earth and beyond
I loved you then as I still do now
As deep as the ocean and as wide as the sky
Ö.Janice Kay Eddy

our daughter (Shannon) dreamt of her brother and woke up with
this song in her head. She sang it at his service that morning.
