Australia is a huge country. Unfortunately we only spent three weeks there which is not enough time to truly do the country justice. We began our journey in Sydney where we visited the beautiful suburb, Manly which is easily accessible by ferry. From there we headed up the east coast of Australia. We stopped in Brisbane to visit some friends and to enjoy the beautiful beaches. After 3 days straight on the bus, we arrived in Ayers Rock. It is the largest known signal stone in the world and like an iceberg only 1/10 of the rock is actually seen. It is a windy climb to the top but well worth the effort. If you are planning on climbing the rock it is best to begin early in the morning due to crowds, increasing heat and increasing wind.
