Vancouver is definitely one of our favourite holiday destinations. We have been there several times but there is just something about the place that keeps us coming back! One of the highlights of the city is Stanley Park. It is a peninsula with a 10 km path surrounding its circumference. Another is Granville Island. It contains a large market with people selling everything from vegetables to crafts. Granville Island is easily accessible from most parts of central Vancouver by water taxi. Other sites worth mentioning are: the Omnimax theatre at Canada Place, the all you can eat chocolate buffet at the Plaza Hotel and the Planetarium.
(Warning: Do not eat before you go to the all you can eat chocolate buffet as bloating may occur.)
