Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Jerome Edelstein received his medical degree from the University of Toronto where he won numerous awards and scholarships, including the prized Silver Medal for finishing 2'nd overall amongst 252 medical school graduates.

He completed his surgical internship at the Toronto General Hospital, and then went on to Plastic Surgery training at the University of Toronto for five years. After certification as a plastic surgeon, he sought out additional sub-specialty education in Cosmetic Surgery, training with one of the most acclaimed plastic surgeons in the world.

Dr. Edelstein is fully certified as a Plastic Surgeon by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

He is Head of the Division of Plastic Surgery at the Humber River Regional Hospital, one of the largest divisions of plastic surgery in Canada, with eight active plastic surgeons on staff. Surgery is also performed at the Prince Arthur Medical Clinic, a private surgical facility in the Yorkville area, and the Forest Hill Institute of Cosmetic Surgery, a mid-town private surgery clinic.

Dr. Edelstein is an active member of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Canadian Society of Cosmetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the International Confederation of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery as well as the Canadian and Ontario Medical Associations. He has been a panel member for the Quality Assurance Committee of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, and also writes case opinions for the College. His research has been published in Canadian and International peer reviewed plastic surgery journals. Dr. Edelstein regularly lectures on cosmetic surgery topics, has appeared on television, and is quoted in newspapers and magazines.
