Stream Rip Configuration


Some internet audio streams don't have an option for recording them, although this is not very secure, it is a deterent to recording the transmissions.



As you can see in the diagram above, audio out from your computer normally goes to the speakers. If your setup uses jacks as shown above, you already have everything you need to rip streamed audio transmissions.

Simply unplug the speakers at the speaker end, then plug it into your audio in jack on your computer. There's a major limitation of this setup though, you can't hear what you're recording. A better solution would be to make a "Y" jack, that could go to the input jack and to the speaker input. A cable similar to the one on the Speakers page would be perfect! What a coinincidence! ;-)
