OPC-478 computer -
radio programming interface
This circuit is from the original Icom blueprint.
Used to program my IC-T81A and Yaesu FT-8800
It was made on a PCB and appropriate cables are used for each
radio.
The unit plugs directly into a serial port, and the correct programming
software is
needed for the particular radio used.
The Icom handheld uses a 3.5 mm stereo plug, the Yaesu mobile uses
a 6 pin mini-din connector .
Everything is built into a plastic box and
hot glued in place for stability. This unit also works with Yaesu
handheld and Kenwood handheld radios.
Software can be found on the internet or at dealers for purchase.
