Rob Newman is running to be the next City Councillor in St. Paul’s — Ward 22.  He and his partner Beth MacKinnon have lived in the community on Hillsdale Avenue East for six years.  Rob is a licensed sales assistant at one of Canada’s top financial institutions.  He attended Queen’s University for four years, and earned a Bachelor of Computer Science from Acadia University in Nova Scotia. 

Rob grew up in the country, but fell in love with cities while at university in Kingston.  He believes, “cities need to ‘happen’, but they also need to be nudged in the right direction.”  Rob is running for public office to move Toronto in the right direction.

He is ready to work hard for the people of St. Paul’s — and he is committed to building a city to live in for all Torontonians.
