9/11/2001 - A Black Day for Civilization?
Or a new beginning?

Who could do such a monstrous thing against innocents? Well, maybe most every country in the world, when it has suited them. Including the US.
Will retaliation fix the problem or exacerbate it? Osama the martyr? Ewww - what would that be like?
Hmmm - $40b to rebuild, or 1 million Americans walking hand in hand from the Pakistan border into Afghanistan handing out $100 bills and flowers. Which would be more effective?
What would John Lennon do? (Damn, we killed him already)
What about the Mahatma - seriously aggrieved, yet non-violent - what would he say? (Nope - he was too good for us, and went on to better places too (I hope))
So - go visit a mosque, search out an Afghan charity, ask your Government to drop flowers not Cruise missiles
And maybe all our kids can sleep easier one day.

To the rest of person-kind - "All We Need Is Love". If you think you're superior to the perps, and have no problem nuking them or theirs to 'send a message' or 'eradicate evil', God help you and your flawed thinking.
