10.1'' reflector 43 x
A pretty open cluster spanning about 3/4 degrees across, some 50 stars. A few bright members at center make it very easy to spot at low power or through the finderscope. The cluster is 1700 light years away, 15 light years across, and approximately 25 million years old. M46 lies just under a degree to the east.
North at 7 o'clock, East at 4 o'clock.
