The Crescent Nebula, located about 3 degrees south-west of Gamma Cygni, is a delicate ear-shaped structure. In the image above, part of the lower edge of the ear is not visible. With saturation and layer filtering in GIMP, the brighter portions of the nebula could be pulled out of the data.

North at 11 o'clock, East at 8 o'clock.
