For millions of men and women who suffer from unwanted hair, this is a dream come true!

What is the IPLTM hair removal system?
It is a non-invasive light therapy device (not a laser)  specifically designed to eliminate undesired hair from all parts of the body.

How does IPLTM remove hair?
IPL uses pulsed light to remove hair and impair hair regrowth..First, a cool gel, then a hand-held treatment unit are gently applied to the skin that disable hundreds of hair folllicles simultaneously. When the gel is removed, much of the hair is wiped off with it . The remaining hair in the treated area falls out within a week or two.

Can all hair colors, skin tones and parts of the body be treated?
The system's unique design offers you customized treatment, according to your hair color, texture, and location on the body. We can treat most hair color. IPL  easily removes black and brown hair. A special technique has been devised to treat red and white hair. Blonde hair unfortunately cannot yet be treated with this technique (neither with laser).  IPL can remove hair from all parts of the body including the chin, upper lip, cheeks, underarms, legs, arms and back - as well as sensitive areas like the ears, nose, chest, and bikini line.
IPL can treat all skin tones from the lightest to the darkest. This makes it a unique system.

What is IPLTM treatment like?
When IPL 's pulse of light is delivered to the hair, you may feel a mild sting or pinch similar to the snap of a rubber band. A local anesthetic cream can be applied if desired but is not usually needed.

How many treatments are required?
This varies according to your hair color and location on the body. Several treatments may be needed each session  lasting  from 10-90 minutes depending on the size of the area covered.

Are there any side effects?
You may experience some short-time side effects. This may include slight reddening of the skin or local swelling which  goes away within a few minutes. In very rare instances there may be blistering that heals easily. Temporary hyper-pigmentation can occur if precaution are not taken : avoidance of the rays of the sun or of a tanning bed before and after the treatment for a certain time.

Are there any restrictions on my activity after treatment?
You can return to work after your treatment and resume all your activities. You will be asked to avoid sun exposure as well as the use of tanning beds for a certain time.

Who are candidates for treatment?
Everybody can be treated. Men , women and children can enjoy the benefits of having unwanted hair removed The IPL's unique system allows patients with any skin type to be treated.

How does IPLTM compare with commonly used hair removal methods?
Shaving, waxing and depilatory creams are all temporary methods that must be repeated on a regular basis. Hair removal with IPL offers longer lasting results.

How does IPLTM treatment compare with electrolysis?
Electrolysis is a tedious, invasive, and painful process that involves inserting a needle into each hair follicle and delivering an electrical charge to destroy them one at a time. Electrolysis often requires years of treatment at regular intervals.  IPL non-invasively ( no needles) treats hundreds of hair follicles simultaneously.  So, in a few minutes, IPL can effectively treat an area that would take hours with electrolysis. You save time and also money in most cases.

How is IPLTM different from lasers?
IPL 's innovative patented technology allows the doctor to customize treatment specifically for your hair, color, texture, skin tone and body location. This flexible approach to treatment cannot be achieved with any laser or non-invasive method currently available.
