I wanted to do more things with this web page but I didn't have any time we were busy with work and wedding planning. After the wedding when we get our pictures from the photographer and our family we plan on posting them here.

Our Wedding Plans
Planning a wedding is a lot of work, especially if you are like us! We want everything to be just right so we have decided to do a lot of the wedding details ourselves (also saving us a bit of cash).
One of the hardest parts about planning a wedding is determining what the "wedding of your dreams" is …to the both of you.
Lucky for us, the Legion hall was available for the August 26th and we actually got to save some
money because Shawn's parents are Legion members!
The Legion holds 220 people maximum so it is a nice size, and we arranged to have access to the
kitchen for the 11:30pm buffet we are making ourselves. We have decided to go with a cash bar.
I will update this page periodically as our plans become more exact and detailed.
Shannon
The Dress
I found the perfect dress of my dreams! It fits perfect with absolutely no alterations….now I just have to stay away from all of the Christmas baking! It has no sleeves but has straps about 1 inch wide. The bodice is full of beadwork. The skirt is full but fairly simple with a long train with some beadind. It has a "U" shaped neckline and comes to a "V" at the waist. I would show you all a picture but then Shawn would see it!
The Tuxes
Shawn has chosen the tuxes that he likes from the Freeman's catalogue but we haven't ordered them yet. We have registered to get fitted so that we get 1999 prices. We have decided to go with
full vests and euro-ties.
The Church
We have decide to get married in a small cozy church just 10 minutes out of our hometown. It is a United Church that holds approximately 120 people maximum. The Pastor is a wonderful person
and has offered us many suggestions and ideas on how to make the wedding day just right.
The Ceremony
We were given numerous choices for the wording of our wedding ceremony, by our Reverend. It was really nice this way because we know that the ceremony will be more personal and mean more because the words and verses that we have choosen mean the most to us.
The Flowers
We bought our flowers (and holders) about 1 hour away from our home town for the total cost of $80.00. These were enough flowers to make
The Decorations
We have green and white streamers, green balloons (that we will be blowing up with helium)
burgandy velvet bows for the walls, and tonnes of white tulle!
The Reception
Boy what a hassle! The reception hall that we had reserved in March 1999 called us up in October 1999 and told us that they might be closing up and for us to come and pick up our deposit. Off
we were to find another hall.
The D.J.
We still haven't had a chance to find one yet!
Our Song
We have it narrowed down to 2 songs but we are sort of stuck deciding between:
"From this Moment" by Shania Twain
"I Do" by Paul Brandt
