Booking Procedure

  1. You MUST read carefully our terms and conditions before proceeding with your reservation.

  2. Check the calendar page for availability.

  3. E-mail your booking request to us and we will hold the request for up to 7 days

  4. During this time you will need to submit a booking application and make a deposit of $500 which will become your security deposit.

  5. Upon acceptance of your application and deposit we will confirm your booking by e-mail.

  6. The balance is due and payable 30 days prior to the first day of the rental period. If the Client books a cottage and the application is approved and there is less than 30 days before the commencement of the vacation, the total payment is due. A $25 fee is applied for late payments, i.e. not received 30 days prior to rental period.
All payments are to be made payable in Canadian Funds by cash, personal cheque, money order, or by International Canadian Money Order if out of Canada.

Here is how the deposit works:

  • $500 initial deposit is due upon booking
  • Rental amount (e.g. $1600 per week during high season) is due 30 days before rental period.
  • Thus you will have paid a total of $2,100 (if for one week rental)
  • $500 security deposit is refunded within 4 weeks of check-out, minus damage, any phone/satellite charges or cleaning costs.

Any cancellation must be in writing 30 days from the beginning of the cottage occupancy date. If we are successful in re-booking the accommodation for the entire period booked, we will refund all monies paid less a cancellation fee of $50 per cancelled week.

The Renter is responsible for damage to the Cottage (inside and outside), including recreational equipment. The Renter will provide a security deposit of $500 (Canadian) in case of damage and incidental charges. Refund of security deposit will be returned within 4 weeks after check-out day, upon satisfactory inspection of the property, as well as phone and satellite charges.

The renter must carry comprehensive personal liability insurance as part of their home owners or renters policy and must enclose proof of such insurance to demonstrate that any damage made at the property will be covered by their insurance. This is a requirement of our insurer.

The number of persons present overnight (including guests) must never exceed the number indicated by the Renter in Occupant List without the prior written permission of the Owner. Failure to comply can result in immediate eviction without refund.

  1. Check-in time is 4:00 pm on the date agreed in our Rental Contract.
  2. Check-out time is 12:00 pm.
  3. Renters must bring their own linens (sheets, pillow cases) and towels.
  4. The Cottage operates on a septic system. Its misuse or over use could lead to major damage and expense.
  7. LOCAL PHONE CALLS ARE FREE, however you must bring and use a 'phone card' for all long-distance calls made during your stay.
  8. In the event that any unreasonable rowdiness or noise occur such that leads to repeated complaints by others, the customer shall vacate the premises immediately and forfeit the balance of the prepaid rental.
  9. It is your responsibility to leave the cottage (inside and out) thoroughly clean and tidy (cleaning supplies will be available). If cottage is not left clean, any additional required costs of cleaning will be deducted from your security deposit.
  10. Any damage that occurs to the cottage or anything on the property must be reported prior to departure, so that we may assess and mutually agree to the cost of repairs or replacement value.
