Week 1
July 11, 2003
"We send our sympathies out to the unfortunates stationed in the Galactic East, sent to die in a sideshow. Turn back now, while you still can, before you face certain death! You who labour under the command of fools and cowards, who are thrown into the fire and flame of battle without thought of your fates, take up arms in your own cause instead and throw off the shackles of your slavery.
"We, whom they deem your foes, care more for you than your own commanders. We do not wish to kill you. No, not even you, Captain Drusis of the Ultramarines, even if you are stationed on Timbra Prime. We wish you would share with us the bounty that comes from peace and harmony, of knowing one's proper place in the Greater whole. We wish only peace.
"However, our brave Fire Warriors will defend our Empire against all those who would threaten it. With furious anger against the willing, and with regret toward the involuntary, they will destroy any armies which jeopardise the Greater Good.
"Do not face us across the field of battle! That way lies only certain death. Turn back now, and face your true opponents; the corrupted liars your great enemy from the Eye has infiltrated amongst your own commanders!
"And now I shall play for you a selection of popular music..."

Assembled Imperial Commanders,
So, The Tau fear us sufficiently to unleash their ministry of wishfull thinking upon us. When you finish laughing at this callow attempt at subversion, remember that there is no place for such nonsense as this in your hearts and minds.
It is a known fact that the Tau have enslaved the prisoners taken from what few imperial worlds where they have aquired some shallow measure of victory, and have pressed them into service! Forcing them to fire upon those that were once their commrades!
This is probably the only time you will ever hear these words pass my lips but in this case I must concurr with the inquisition "Listen not to the alien"!
Glory to the Emperor!
Master Cornix
Mallius Corbin Task Force
2nd Company Ravenwing
Dark Angels Chapter.
Velocitas Aequalis Victoria!

We now begin another broadcast from Sa'cea Sally, on Comm-channel Free Damocles:
"Welcome again, to all you lonely Guardsmen, as we try to pick up your spirits with the only true information you will receive. Or do you think that your commanders, back in their comfortable palaces, will muddy their boots to bring you the truth?
"We sympathise with you as few others can. The Greater Good is not served by separating you honest, hard-working citizens from your wives, your families, and your friends. And for the rest of your lives! How demoralizing! We salute your bravery, even if it is sadly misplaced. It must take great courage to fight beside people you do not know, under officers whom you have never met, against your certain dooms, knowing that you can never go home again.
"It is a shame that all this is so unnecessary. The Tau Empire will welcome you in peace, should you wish to give up this senseless struggle against those who wish you no harm. You have only to follow the instructions printed on the pamphlets we dropped into your trenches. You see our good will, that we drop offers of friendship when we could have dropped missiles! We extend that good will to all those who acknowledge the Greater Good and work to further it for everyone. The Tau care not that your species, or religion, or even your culture is different than ours; there is a place for all who co-operate. And a permanent home! We would not tear you out by the roots, as your own Imperium has.
"Perhaps your perfumed officers have told you to ignore the good sense we have sent you. But we know many of you have heard the words of Private Jerakim Slovaz, late of the 18 th Brimlock Dragoons, or have seen a transcript reprinted in your honourable news publication, White Dwarf (issue 262, page 48, for our friends in the NorAm subsector). Would you rather believe the words of one who has fought as you have, or of an aristocratic second-son who has never had to chapp his hands while digging his own foxhole?
"We do speak the truth, despite the propagandizing of your Marine 'allies'. Your Inquisition will be glad, Master Cornix of the Ravenwing, to hear that you agree with them. And they will hear, won't they? They are so skilled at finding information. It is good that you have no secrets to hide in your own Dark Angels chapter. Perhaps you should ask the Inquisition for help finding your old friend, that Mysterious Character who has been separated from you for so long? Old friends should be re-united.
"To celebrate the coming reunion of old friends, I shall now play for you a selection of popular music..."

July 12, 2003
We now begin another broadcast from Sa'cea Sally, on Comm-channel Free Damocles:
"Greetings, guardsmen of the Galactic East, on this fine morning. Or is it? The weather can change so quickly, sometimes a clear blue sky will cloud over before you can finish your letter to home.
"Some of you know this already. Look at how the weather has changed at St. Josmane's! It has gotten rather warm there for your friends. Perhaps they need your help?
"And look at Cadia itself! While you sit here, facing the Tau who wish you no harm, your families are being shelled! Colonel Wilhelm von Schrover IV, of the 98th Cadian Gewehrs, don't be fooled by the warcries of the Ultramarines… after all, it is they who wish to conquer into Tau space while your homes are burning in Cadia. Do you wish to fatten the vaults of Ultramar while Abaddon and his minions ravage Cadia's?
"We do not wish to see the Imperium destroyed. Far from it! We wish you well against the traitorous cultists who plague your space, as well as the Orks and Tyranids which threaten both our great Empires.
"You should listen to the advice of wise men like Brother Edward, Favoured by Sanguinius, who now fight for your home while you stand here so far away. Such a moderate man, Brother Edward, for a Marine. The Greater Good is well served by such wise Moderation. If you are wise too, Colonel von Schrover, you will turn back from the Railguns of our mighty Fire Warriors and look to your Emperor's own safety. It does the Imperium no good to conquer here and lose the Cadian Gate there!
"Turn back now! Save your strength from our Crisis Teams and battle tanks, against whom you cannot stand. Your deaths here will not help the Imperium. Return to your own threatened homes, and put an end to your treacherous cousins' threat!
"And now I shall play for you a selection of popular music..."
