Blood Poems Fiddlehead, 1978, 80 pp. Cover Art and Drawings by Leopold Plotek (out of print) Blood Poems opens with "anomaly," a poem that that serves as preface and frame for the books' sections. It is followed by "responsa/the rothenberg poems," a group of poems which respond to the work of the American poet Jerome Rothenberg, especially as that work attempts to reconstruct pre-Holocaust European Jewish experience and the experiences of immigrants to North America. Other sections are: "holocaust poems"; "Mad Women & Crazy Ladies"; and "moon poems". |
