Tell Me How The World Has Changed: Easter 1992

Book Ends, a chapbook that was printed by above/ground press to mark a reading in Ottawa in the Spring of 1995, is dedicated to two friends who died of today's "common killers": ovarian cyst cancer and AIDS. The work demonstrates a range of styles and subjects and includes the very beautiful long poem about loss, gender, and sexuality, "The Season For The Naming Of Flowers" that ends with the admonition to let go of grief: "The flesh is also/a garden, love.///Its flowering/need not be bitter.///Its branching out/need not/be galled."
