Gr Champion Shelamo Carbon Copy
Have not had a chance to make updates to our site since September, so quite a bit to update on.
We've had to make some hard decisions on our future as far as breeding shelties go, and at this point there are no plans to breed the bi-black girls we've retained.
We are plesed to announce that Shelamo Kenna (USA ptd) delivered 6 pups on December 8/14 sired by Vicki Weis's boy PaRay's Gramercy Park.
We've seen several of our sable girls go off to new forever homes, including MBPIS BPISS Ch Shelamo Flash Forward. Ch Shelamo Deja Vu and BPIM BPIB Ch Shelamo Rais'n The Bar both went to homes in constant sunny/warm locations in the USA. We also placed BPIB Ch Shelamo Heart's Delight and sisters Ch Shelamo That's Amore and Ch Shelamo Seriously Sinful.
At the end of November, I travelled to the north of Spain to delivery MBBPIG Shelamo Bedazzle to new owner Ana Busto of Asturshelkie Shelties. It was a worldwind trip as I didn't have time to visit long. The whole story behind it took us over 3 months to figure out how it could be done with all the regulations and flight requirements. You can read about my trip on our Shelamo Blog. It is a great pleasure to also say that "Dazzle" came into season while there and has been bred with pups due mid February! I feel that speaks volumes about her ability to adjust, and Ana's care.
On the agility front Shelamo Man on A Journey CGN CD RAE AGNJ ADC AADC owned by Judy Flanigan ended the year obtaining his Advanced Agility Dog of Canada.
Chantell Charlebois of Ottawa, has new titles on her two boys - "Indie" is Shelamo Code Name Spitfire HIC AGNJ, ATChC, MSCDC Ex J-Bronze (4th overall @ the 2014 AAC Ontario East Regions; 7th in Jumpers @ the AAC National Championships; "Travis" is now Shelamo Handsome Trouble CGN, HIC, AGN, AGIJ, MADC, MSDC Ex J-Siver.
Kate Freeman of Arnprior, owns "Tula" a litter sister to "Indie", and she is now Shelamo Party Crasher ADC, AADC, AAGDC

We're proud of the accomplishments of our Shelamo Kenna with her points so far (in need of a coat change) towards her US Championshp, a few Specialty WB/BOS and RWB. She now resides with Vicki Weis (Weis Shelties). And our BPIM Ch Shelamo Rais'n The Bar is now a proud mother for Albion Shelties.
We finished off the year of showing our 14" biblack girl "CC" two days at both the SD&G, and Cornwall dog show. She came away with another Best of Breed, 2 more Best Puppy in Breeds & a Puppy Group, and three Select Females, handled by her 'mom' Marylou in several of the shows. It's been a great ride, can't thank Marylou, and Jan and Steve Silcox for investing the time and effort with this gal. She'll now take a break from the show ring as she's changing her coat, and might even take on the obedience & agility side of things.

A major accomplishment this past weekend with our MBPIG Ch Shelamo Carbon Copy at the TIKO show. She became our 1st Grand Champion (under the new 2013 rules) by taking a Select Bitch and a Best of Opposite/Puppy Group wins, all before she turns a year of age. This makes the 1st Canadian Gr Champion for her sire BIS BISS GrCh Serenity's Walk In The Park and her daml, Ch Shelamo She's Got Moxi.

As with her son BPIS Am/Cdn Ch Shelamo's Prospector whom we lost not quite a year go ... Mike & I say ..

So pleased to report that Shelamo Man On A Journey CGN, CD, RN, "Journey" owned by Judy Flanigan is racking up titles in less than a year of ownership (Am/Cdn Ch Apple Acres Expedition ROM ROMC x Gralochs Blueberry Tart CGN, TD) to the point I'm having troubles keeping up with them all! He's now has Q's in AAC Starter Jumpers, two Q's in Jumpers & Weaves! He also just aquired a Q in both Rally Advanced & Excellent. I'm proud that Judy has owned not one, but now 4 of our dogs, putting titles on all but the first one which was a special girl, requiring special surgery @ the Guelph Vet Hospital that she was able to adopt back in the early 1990's.
April 11 & 13, 2014
We took our two GCh Am Ch Serenity's Walk In The Park AOM x Ch Shelamo She's Got Moxi pups to the Champlain Dog Show in Petawawa. The smaller of the two, Shelamo Carbon Copy "CC" went Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite in her two shows, handled by good friend Marylou.

September 1, 2013
In my arms in the wee hours of September 1, 2013, I lost my best bud of over 13 yrs.
He was the light of my life from an early age; a great Ambassador to the breed, teaching many students at my dog classes, doing many a Girl Guide nights, attending the Ron Kolbus Lakeside Gardens' Winter Fest celebrations and giving us the glory with all his conformation awards, the last major one being a Best of Opposite at the DC&SSA Specialty in 2010, winning the 1st ever Ronas Hill trophy award, in memory of Mrs. Lovett (where I was honoured to purchase as a youngster, my 1st sheltie that became Ronas Hill Kraker-jak UD). He made his mark on so many people from all coasts of Canada and down to Florida where Dr Sherry Lee had loved him for 1/2 a year and put his American Championship on him in just 13 shows.
What he gave to Mike and I here at Shelamo, there wouldn't be enough space to write it all ....
So this is where we part, My Friend,
I will forever remember those loving warm brown eyes that were always on me.
Rest well dear friend I will cherish our memories, will meet you at the Rainbow Bridge.
