This picture was taken in Sept 2003 looking out from the back of our former home
and it just so happens the bottom of the rainbow was our graveyard site.

If tears could build a stairway, And memories a lane
I would climb right up to heaven
And bring you all home again

The sun He placed there in the sky
To light our lives throughout the years
And the glory of the rainbow
Is just God smiling through the tears.

Till we met you again at the Rainbow Bridge

"Shelby" was Michael's first female show dog, sired by our Ch Arhope Simply Sinful CDX.  You can view her life & her kids accomplishments by linking here.

With a sad heart we said good-bye.

"Vision" was the 1st born & 1st Champion to our kennel.  Need we say anything more of the impact she's had on our life with shelties. Pictured on a warm afternoon's day, November 2005.

Feb 12 to Oct 9 2004
co-owned with Gina Daw

"Sky" was taken from us too early for any of us to comprehend.
The aspirations Gina and I had for him are beyond words.  He was showing such promise for an illustrious show career, but most of all as a devoted family member.

A serious car accident caused by a young unlicensed driver destroyed his kennel cab leaving him with a broken spine.   The accident also left Gina, her mother and sister with injuries.  The driver, he walked away with only scratches.

I thank Gina for staying by his side, refusing to leave by ambulance until her vet arrived, and being there for him at the end in such a time of pain and sorrow.

"Sibeau", the sable on the right was my 2nd sheltie who was my best buddy and always willing to learn.  He was an avid flyball and scent hurdling dog and just loved to swim after his football.  He'd try any thing as long as I was a part of it.

"Logan" the tri beside "Sibeau" was the dog that started us in the breeding/show world and through his daughter "Shelby", life changed!

They are pictured with 2 of their best buddies on a camping trip

Ch Shelamo's Heavenly Ghost
"Casper"
January 25, 2000 - December 1, 2009

"Casper" was owned by my sister's family. He was a devoted family member, greeted every new person with glee & was very easy going. He loved the camping trips, watching from the sidelines as boys played football or soccer, any family gathering be it for Christmas, birthdays, summer BBQ's, it didn't matter he wanted to join in. His presence with the boys at the local park drew more than one new sheltie client to our door ... an Ambassador to our breed, FOR SURE!

He had no time to battle a rare from of a blood based tumor, as it was not more than a month from symptoms & diagnosis to where his quality of life just failed.

Ch Shelamo Tyme Descends

"Tyme"
December 16, 2006 - January 26, 2012

"Tyme" left us totally unexpectedly when her last litter was just 14 weeks of age. It all happened within 5 days. Surgery discovered she had a mast cell tumour in the upper gastrointestinal area & affecting her pancreas. We said good-bye without further adieu.

"Casino"
May 20, 2000 - July 7, 2012

"Casino" was our resident blue-eye beauty. Her passing happened in less than a week with 2 emergency vet trips, one being a specialist. The end diagnosis was nasal cancer. As best I can find this is rare in dogs.

She was the most happiest & easiest of dogs to live with; earned her CGN & CD with spending a good 1.5 yrs with our good friend Mary-Anne training her after being a show dog for 8 yrs; was a demo dog for my obedience classes and many other community events we did including a Brownie night.

Till we meet you at the Bridge, enjoy the sun on your face and running in the fields.

"Rocky"

January 30, 2000 - September 1, 2013

"Rocky" my best bud, passed peacefully at home, in my arms.

He was that kind of boy that always wanted to know where I was, to be by my side, no matter what I was doing.

He was our Shelamo Ambassador, taking up residence on any new person's lap without hesitation.

His accomplishments that I hold so dear ..

His Best Puppy In Show win taking a Grp 4th the same day to finish his Canadian Championship at just over 11 months of age over 3 Best In Show Winners.

Being choosen in the Purina Champion Campaign of 2000 and being the April boy in their 2001 calendar.

His American Championship in 13 shows in tough east USA competition.

and his final win Best of Opposite win in 2010 @ the CC&SSA Specialty as a Veteran, plus winning the 1st Helen Lovett (Ronas Hill) Award.

And passing on his life to so many of his kids, grandkids and great grandkids, with Multi Best Puppy In Show winners & a Best Puppy In Specialty winner.

And his many descendants that have titles at the end of their names.

So this is where we part, My Friend,
And you'll run on, around the bend.
Gone from sight, but not from mind,
new pleasures there you'll surely find.
I will go on; I'll find the strength,
Life measures quality, not its length.
One long embrace before you leave,
Share one last look, before I grieve.
There are others, that much is true,
But they be they, and they aren't you.
And I, fair, impartial, or so I thought,
Will remember well all you've taught.
Your place I'll hold, you will be missed,
The fur I stroked, the nose I kissed.
And as you journey to your final rest,
Take with you this...I loved you best.

Shelamo's Party Pack ROMC

"Opal"

May 21, 1998 - July 13, 2014

She made it to her sweet 16th birthday, and then some.

She will be deeply missed as she was the cornerstone of so many of our generations that are now 5 deep.

She was our 1st ROMC, with 6 Champions.

Our first to produce a Best Puppy In Show winner.

First to produce an American Champion in 13 shows.

First to produce a Reserve Best In Show.

The 1st to greet strangers to be petted and get a bum rub.

RIP sweet one, you took us on a great ride, a legacy we won't forget.
