Niagara-on-the-Lake is a charming historic town located on the northeast tip of the Niagara peninsula in Ontario, Canada.It offers world-class theatre, shops, fine dining and scenic parklands.Close to numerous estate wineries offering tours and tastings, golf, tennis and biking trails, as well as the majestic beauty of Niagara Falls, it is an ideal vacation destination.The town is a 1-1/2 hour drive south of Toronto and only 30 minutes from Buffalo, New York.
It is said that a home reflects the personality(ies) of those living within. As avid craftpersons, gardeners and cooks, we believe that this is definitely true of us. The moment you arrive at our front door, you will be keenly aware of the warmth and hospitality awaiting you. The decor is a personal, albeit eclectic, blend of cottage, Americana, French and Scandinavian country stylings. Unique collections including teddy bears, quilts, teacups and, of course, apples abound. Guests have often told us that it takes more than one visit to truly appreciate all that there is to see.
Enjoy sumptuous breakfasts of house specialties,
by candlelight, in our main floor breakfast room, prepared fresh daily
by "Chef Margo." Our breads, muffins, and jams are all homemade,
and it has been said that Carol brews "the best cup of coffee."
Our front verandah is the perfect place to relax and unwind any time of day. Enjoy spectacular sunsets from a comfy wicker chair whilst sampling a wine you purchased earlier in the day from one of the local wineries.
The
Spiced Apple is a centrally
air-conditioned, smoke-free, adult-oriented facility. Our resident
dogs - Barney, an adorable Dandie Dinmont Terrier, and Beamer, an American
Foxhound - are always available for a cuddle!
GUEST ROOMS
The three guest rooms at The Spiced Apple are located on the second floor. Named for three varieties of apples, each offers private ensuite bathrooms and king/twin or queen-size beds.
The largest and sunniest of our
guest rooms,
The McIntosh Room, offers king/twin accommodation and
a private 4-piece ensuite with whirlpool tub. The walls of this suite
have been stencilled in a colonial style willow and vine pattern.
The room rate (in season) is $130 per night. (A roll-away cot is
also available in this room for an additional charge of $30 per night.)
Our second guest room, The Empire
Room, is decorated in cool shades of mint, pink and pale yellow.
It features hand-painted furniture and a stencilled picket fence headboard.
Hand-painted floral vines meander around the room. This room, too,
offers king/twin accommodation and a 3-piece ensuite. The room rate
is $120 per night.
Inspired by French country decorating,
a blue and yellow colour scheme was selected for our third bedroom, The
Cortland Room. Featuring antique furniture and, once again, a
hand-painted headboard, this room offers a queen-size bed and a 3-piece
ensuite. The room rate is $100 per night.

Based on double occupancy, our room rates are quoted in Canadian dollars and are subject to 7% GST tax. A $50 deposit per room night will secure your reservation.

We welcome MasterCard, Visa or cash.
CANCELLATION POLICY
For cancellation made 7 days prior to the date of arrival, the deposit will be returned, less a $10 handling fee. When made less than 7 days prior, the deposit will not be returned unless the room is re-booked. However, total room payment will be due if cancellation is made less than 48 hours prior to arrival unless the room is re-booked.
