Steve's 1976 Fender Telecaster

Steve bought this Tele off of Joe Lado in 1976 from his old store

on Kingston Rd. in Toronto just before Joe sold that store & went onto

bigger and better things with his Lado designed Accoustics,

Electrics and Basses.

POTS:

Steve's Tele has been "modfied" or "de-modified"

a little, starting with the pots being removed.

The reason for this is: When Steve's pots would

malfunction, he had to replace them. He always

used them wide opened anyhow. Also, Steve has

always used a volume pedal with his Tele

to get swells & steel guitar type sounds.

**I added an Off/On Switch to my 1976 Tele**

BRIDGE:

Steve usually goes through a bridge every couple

of years due to his skin-acid eating the metal

around his adjustment screws, which makes it

hard to set the action & intonation.

TUNING KEYS:

Steve uses the "E.T.K." (Easy Tuning Kit), which fit

on top of his existing "Schalers". They give him a

little more sustain and are quickly de-tuned. Because

they're round, they are always in just the right position to grab in an instant.

**I have had a new neck put on by Jeremy Williams & I love it**

STRINGS:

**Elixir's On Everything, with a 09.5mm Di'Adarrio for my 1st string on my 1976 Tele**
