&Lit (And Literally So)



In all of the clues we've seen so far, there are two distinct parts: a definition versus the wordplay.  But once in a blue moon, both parts of the clue happen to completely overlap.  That is, you can read the entire clue once as a straight definition and you can read the entire clue in a different way for the wordplay.
 

Sample clue:

Horribly angered! (7)
This clue can be read once as a straight definition of the word ENRAGED, and a second time as an anagram (horribly) of angered.  The exclamation point (!) is reserved to signal this type of clue.
