The Triumph of Form Over Content When you have a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

You Are Here: Home -> Glossary -> Greed

We were all born greedy. We had needs and, if those needs were met, felt safe and comfortable. When we grew older, our parents taught us about the virtues of sharing, of helping others and of playing fair.

Now we are all grown up and living in an economic system in which greed is rewarded and sharing, helping and fair play are punished swiftly and mercilessly. The next time you see an advertisement for a credit card company, think about your kid brother having a tantrum in the mall and screaming, "but I want it!" How do we expect to have a civil society when we have placed all our chips on a system which encourages people to behave like spoiled two year olds?
