Workplace Conflict
Resolution Services
THE
EDGE
Practical
ways to resolve interpersonal conflict in the workplace. Establishing
a healthy and productive work environment
-
Interpersonal conflict
resulting from petty bickering, name calling, teasing and inappropriate
behaviour is the most common form of discord occurring in the workplace
-
Harassment policies,
while imperative to address human rights-based behaviour, are not intended
to deal with broader types of conflict
-
Managers and supervisors
have limited tools to deal with these types of actions, yet recognize that
when employees are in conflict, they are not productive
-
While an organization
may realize that there is a problem in the workplace, an independent and
unbiased perspective can often identify issues that may not be immediately
evident
-
Employees need a set
of problem solving tools and processes to help solve interpersonal conflict
Our
Approach
Step One
-
The Workplace Review
Our staff will
conduct a review of the employment situation. This often involves interviews
with staff, focus groups, questionnaires and employment policy analysis.
The comprehensiveness of this review will vary dependent upon the scope
and nature of the issues. Your workplace environment will be factored into
deciding upon the approach used. We will provide you with a comprehensive
Workplace Review Report with recommended actions for your consideration.
Step Two
-
Consultation and Action Plan
Based on the Workplace
Review Report and discussions with the client, The Edge will prepare an
action plan that will address both the immediate and systemic issues revealed
through the Step One process.
