HANDLING AND STORAGE

·         EKKI hardwood is dense and heavy. Its specific gravity depends on its moisture content, but even when quite dry EKKI hardwood has a specific gravity greater than 1. The approximate weight is 1150 kgs per cubic meter or 72 pounds per cubic foot.

·         Be careful around water, EKKI wood sinks.

·         Because EKKI hardwood is very hard and dense, the edges of machined pieces may be quite sharp. Splinters can be painful.

·         It is recommended not to expose fresh sawn EKKI hardwood to rapid drying conditions. It is best to keep EKKI hardwood materials bundled and covered until it is required for use or installation. Moist storage conditions are OK.

Use gloves when handling machined EKKI hardwood pieces.
