TORONTO -- Susan Aglukark and The Wolfpack are among the Ontario winners of the Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards.
Aglukark, an Inuit singer-songwriter now living in Oakville, was honoured with best female for 2004.
The Wolfpack, a family of siblings from the province's Six Nations, received this year's best group award.
Elaine Bomberry, also from Six Nations, got an award for best aboriginal music radio program.
Awards were presented in 19 categories awards at a celebration last night in Toronto.
UPDATE: Susan Aglukark is one of the 2016 winners of the Governor General's Performing Arts Award.
Each lifetime achievement award-winner receives $25,000 and a special medallion struck by the Canadian Mint.
Drawn from nominations made by the public, the award recognize artists, mentors and arts volunteers for their outstanding contribution to Canadian culture.
