this device automatically engages and brings the escalator to a smooth stop. This switch is located at the right and left side of both the upper and lower truss.

device will automatically disconnect the power supply to the drive unit causing the escalator to come to a smooth stop..
Activation of this button will automatically disconnect the
power supply to the drive unit and engage the electromagnetic brake bringing the escalator to a smooth stop. This button is covered with a movable transparent cover and located on the right side newel facing
the escalator at both the upper and lower landing. When the cover is moved, a buzz is activated.
When objects become trapped between the steps and the
skirt guard, this device will automatically brin the escalator to a smooth stop. This switch is located at the right and left side of both the upper and lower truss.
If the escalator motor overload or short-circuit, this
device will automatically disconnect the power supply to the drive motor brining the escalator to a smooth stop. This device is located in the machine room.
